I had been looking forward to visiting Pearl Harbor my entire life and our guide John Jr made the trip even that much better. His passion for the island it's culture & history came through with every word he spoke or in his case sang to us.... He treated us like family in town to visit not tourists and that felt great.... I would like to send a big Alo........ha & Mahalo to our cousin John Jr

Great full day tour of Pearl Harbour and Honolulu with a great guide. John Jnr was knowledgeable, friendly and made the day a thoroughly enjoyable one. He gave us some really interesting facts about the history of Pearl Harbour and Honolulu and entertained us with some ukulele playing and singing. Would do another tour with him anytime.

"Excellent day with Kona!"

We did the Pearl Harbor + circle island tour on the second day of our trip, and it was a great overview and warm welcome to the islands. The museums and Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor are first rate and informative. From there we drove through the countryside making frequent stops at various touristy and non-touristy locations. Sure the Dole stop is a trap, but the pineapple display garden was fascinating! The north shore beaches are amazing, and we even saw a whale jumping from one scenic overlook. Kona, our guide, made the trip memorable and extremely useful. We learned SO MUCH from him, just from his potted accounts of history and economics, it was perfect for us. I liked getting to know him, and I was sorry to say goodbye at the end. Yes, it was a long day, but well worth it. Lunch at the north shore ranch was excellent and plentiful (Kona said it was a modest portion!!!!). Get the chicken and ribs, which are divine. So, the highlights for me were: the excellent museums at Pearl Harbor, the whales, lunch, seeing the country side + the north shore beaches, AND having Kona as our guide. He was gracious, knowledgeable, and an all around good guy. We referred to his comments throughout our trip, "Remember, Kona told us..." DH objected to the early start, but the tour company has this figured out. You get to Pearl Harbor right as it opens, so it is a much nicer experience. The rest of the day is on and off the bus, but never too long on the bus, and never too long at a stop. A great introduction to Hawaiian culture and history! My only complaint is that the bag policy at Pearl Harbor could be clearer: you can take a small wristlet purse, but nothing else. You cannot leave bags on the bus, but you can check just about anything easily for a $4.00 fee before entering. It is not a hassle to check a bag, only a fee. We assumed we could leave things on the bus. Later in the day you can.

"Day At Pearl Harbor"

My wife and I don't normally take guided tours but made an exception for Pearl Harbor. I felt the history is too important. Discover Hawaii's tour made the day very memorable. John Junior, our tour guide was great. He was a wealth of info not only for Pearl Harbor but also the other parts of Honolulu we visited. It was a full day tour but there was plenty of time to take breaks, rest tired feet and get some water or snacks. Just a heads up you have to check any and all bags before entering the memorial. Even small purses. Just leave them at your hotel if you can. Enjoy your time.

OMG! What a great day with Keith Fujikawa! Very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable driver with funny jokes. Not only did he take us out to our destinations, he went out of his way to ensure we made the best of our tour. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyably funny and informative tour around the island.
