The fascinating story of the Polynesians, their creation, their expertise in seafaring, their challenges and their universal legends of love is told through an epic journey of song and dance, vibrant costuming and fascinating stories of the peoples of the Pacific. Laser tech lighting, pyrotechnics and a new digital sound system add to the atmosphere at Creation.

The world renowned art of hula is showcased in its many artistic forms with the support of the award winning Kumu Hula (teacher) Anson Kamana’o. Capturing the prestigious title of Merrie Monarch Hula Festival winner multiple times, his Hula Halau ‘O Kamuela is celebrated across the world as one of Hawaii’s finest. Winner of the "Best of West Hawaii" award which was first presented in 2000, the Island Breeze Luau at King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel is a favorite of kama'aina (local residents), visitors and travel professionals.

Each evening guests are invited to join in a cultural experience that shouldn't be missed. The lu'au is well known for its delicious food and its amazing Polynesian production, and its beautiful unique location. Haleo, the “voice of life,” celebrates the history of Keauhou and the heart of those who came from this land. The talented dancers and musicians of Island Breeze Productions invite you to join them on a journey to the past and experience a special time in Hawaiian history.

Held on the oceanfront of the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa, this luau brings you back to a time that is remembered and cherished. From the birth of Kamehameha III to surfing tales of He’eia Bay to the battle of Kuamo’o, performers share the stories of ancient Hawaii through language, culture, music and dance. Keauhou translated into English means “new era.” The area is significant for being the playground of Hawaii’s royalty, ali’i.

Te Au Moana, or "Ocean Tide", is a celebration of the wonderful culture which makes Hawaii so incredibly amazing and unique. Not only will you enjoy a delicious meal, you will be able to try a variety of different cultural activities and experience a world renowned Tihati Production.

As you enter the luau, you will be greeted with a Hawaiian Lei and a Welcome Drink. With the sounds of live Hawaiian music in the background, you can make your way around the luau grounds and see the various crafters and artisans from all around Polynesia and you can see how authentic "poi", a mashed taro root which is the staple of the Hawaiian diet, is made, view various floral crafts, coconut husking, learn the basics of hula and see "kapa" printing as well.

Chief Sielu has appeared on David Letterman, Travel & Discovery Channels, and Oprah Winfrey. He starred in the movie Chief featured at the Sundance Film Festival, and threw the flaming spear that ignited the Olympic torch at a pre-Olympic ceremony in Salt Lake City.

Chief Sielu is internationally known as “The Coconut Man” for his 20 years at the Polynesian Cultural Center’s Samoan Village and star World Champion Fire Knife Dancer at their evening show. He is also known as the “Ambassador of Polynesia” and “That Polynesian Comedian.”

Upon arrival, all of our guests are traditionally welcomed with a Hawaiian Shell Lei. The sounding of the conch shell announces the beginning of the evening’s festivities! Picture taking opportunities await as the Royal Court of Polynesia makes its entrance. As the imu (underground oven) is uncovered, the savory aroma of the Kalua Pua’a (roasted pig) – your main course of the evening – reminds us that dinner is soon to be served.
