The Living Reef
Over 40 realistically-designed exhibits take you on a journey from the rocky surge zone to the edge of the deep reef. See rarely encountered marine creatures: moray eels, octopus, lobsters, sea horses, nocturnal fish and much more!

Turtle Lagoon
Get up close and personal with Hawaiian green sea turtles at this outdoor two-view exhibit. See the animals from above the water, as they surface to breathe, or from a below viewing window for a unique view of these beloved creatures. Maui Ocean Center's sea turtles are part of a hatch-and-release program and will eventually be released in the wild.

Hammerhead Harbor
Come eye to eye with hammerhead sharks, known for their amazing shapes and unique predatory hunting maneuvers.

The Tide Pool
Get a hands-on feel for Hawaii's invertebrates at the Tide Pool. Constructed in the form of an ocean rock pool, the Tide Pool holds a variety of harmless marine animals.

Marine Mammal Discovery Center
See the world from a whale's point of view! The new exhibit retains a few of the humpback whale displays, while several new features focus on the various species of dolphins and whales found in Hawaiian waters, plus the state's most endangered marine mammal, the monk seal. The 3,000 square-foot exhibit includes several interactive displays and graphic boards on marine mammals, life-size models of a monk seal mother and pup in a realistic beach setting, and the most dynamic new exhibit, the Bubble Net.

Sea Jelly Gallery
Watch moon jellies as they appear to dance before your eyes in a stunning floor-to-ceiling cylinder, perhaps the aquarium's most soothing exhibit. Their gentle pulsating and pumping prevents the jellies from sinking while increasing the likelihood of it capturing prey in its stinging tentacles.

The Open Ocean
A 54-foot-long clear acrylic tunnel transports you through this underwater realm, providing a 240-degree view of nearly 2,000 fishes, while stingrays slide overhead and sharks look visitors in the eye. This 750,000-gallon salt-water aquarium is the largest in the state.

Because this cruise departs at 9:00 a.m., you get to sleep later (isn’t that what vacations are all about?) Plus, you’re back in just 3.5 hours, so you can schedule other activities during your day, to maximize your vacation fun on Maui.

The Molokini Eco-Express departs from conveniently located Ma’alaea Harbor and cruises directly to Molokini Marine Preserve. We provide all the snorkel gear, including sanitized masks and snorkels, fins, optical masks (for eyeglass wearers), swim noodles and other flotation devices, plus free “reef-safe” SPF 30 sunscreen. Molokini is a world class snorkeling environment inside the protective ring of an ancient volcanic crater, where over 250 marine species thrive in crystal-clear Hawaii waters. The islet's arc shape, the fact that there is little or no soil to run off into the sea, and the relatively shallow, protected waters combine to offer an incredible Maui snorkel experience with excellent visibility. Located just 2.5 miles off the coast of Maui's south shore, Molokini's shallow inner cove provides a unique habitat for fish and coral species, some of which are found nowhere else in the world but Hawaii.

This tour offers two great adventures in one: 1) snorkeling at Molokini Crater plus 2) snorkeling at a beautiful reef off the island of Lana'i. We'll also visit areas along Lana'i's scenic coast where wild dolphins live and play.

This high spirited adventure begins at the world renowned snorkelers' paradise, Molokini Marine Preserve, where you will snorkel inside a sheltered crescent-shaped islet that's home to many vibrant marine species, many of which are endemic to Hawaii and found nowhere else in the world!

Next, you'll cruise to the island of Lanai, to an area known for its populations of wild spinner, spotted, and bottlenose dolphins. Some of these dolphins are found in large social groups of 30 animals or more. We often have dolphins bowride alongside our vessel as we cruise between the islands. Our certified marine naturalists narrate and interpret the social behaviors of these intriguing acrobatic creatures.

Mendes Ranch on Maui offers two hour horseback rides that take you up into the valley of the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls from a distance, then down to the oceanfront.

We have two run spots where we let you run your horses, if you want. We also take pictures of you along the way with your camera. We are open Monday thru Saturday with check ins at 8:15am and 12:15pm.

There is an optional BBQ lunch served which includes BBQ ribs and chicken hot off the grill, baked beans, green salad, pasta salad, and dinner rolls. See you at the ranch!)

The 54 foot, nimble and fast power catamaran, Maui Magic, is truly a state-of-the-art design. Complete with all the creature comforts the Maui Magic is equipped with BBQ grills, onboard waterslide, ample seating, an awesome sound system and marine toilets. Although we are licensed for 71 passengers, we take only a small group of, no more than 45 passengers, per excursion, for your maximum comfort.

This Historic ranch was visited by King Kalakaua and Queen Kapi’olani in 1874. Known then as the Rose Ranch, it was famed for its hospitality and agricultural prowess. The King’s cottage still stands and is currently the Winery’s Tasting Room. We invite you to sip some of the Ulupalakua wine and “taste the sun, the soft evening fog and hold one hundred years of history in your glass."

The Summit Lavender Sojourn continues with a visit to the Hawaiian paniolo, “cowboy” town of Makawao. There’s plenty of time to stroll and explore this and historic place. To capture all the beauty that is Sunrise at Haleakala, we travel directly to Haleakala National Park and the crater summit. Start the day, “on top of the World. “ Lite morning snack is served, prior to sunrise.

“First Light” reveals a pallet of golden pastel hues plus a 360 degree view encompassing the Big Island of Hawai’i, West Maui, Lana’i, Moloka’i and beyond. The “House of the Sun” visitor’s center, offers breathtaking panoramas from the rim of the Crater. There are numerous photo opportunities while descending this mountain drive. During this memorable day, guests also have a chance to visit an Upcountry protea farm, to see these ancient and exotic flowers. There are over 1500 types of protea, 90 of which grow on Maui. Protea thrive in the cool, dry weather. The majority of protea grow on the southwestern facing slopes of Haleakala. These long lasting beauties were a favorite of French empress Josephine, (Napoleon’s wife), and might capture your heart as well.
