Te Au Moana, or "Ocean Tide", is a celebration of the wonderful culture which makes Hawaii so incredibly amazing and unique. Not only will you enjoy a delicious meal, you will be able to try a variety of different cultural activities and experience a world renowned Tihati Production.
As you enter the luau, you will be greeted with a Hawaiian Lei and a Welcome Drink. With the sounds of live Hawaiian music in the background, you can make your way around the luau grounds and see the various crafters and artisans from all around Polynesia and you can see how authentic "poi", a mashed taro root which is the staple of the Hawaiian diet, is made, view various floral crafts, coconut husking, learn the basics of hula and see "kapa" printing as well.
Once the sun begins to dip beneath the horizon, it will be time to enjoy the mouthwatering All-You-Can-Eat Luau Buffet and the well-stocked Open Bar. Then just sit back and watch the spectacular Polynesian Show filled with the songs and dances of all of the different countries and islands. This will be an evening that you will not soon forget!

4:45pm – Check-In; Banquet staff available to start the evening. Bar opens, Cashier Hut opens, Photo opportunity with fresh flower lei (subject to seasonal availability)
5:00pm – Seating Beings; Live music; Crafters: Hawaiian crafter, Samoan crafter, Tongan crafter, and poi pounder; Interactive Stations: Flower craft, coconut husking, Ulumaika, Hula dancing, and kapa printing.
6:00pm – Imu Unearthing (underground oven)
6:30pm – Buffet opens
7:30 pm – Te Au Moana Show begins
8:30 pm – Evening ends
Note: Once luau commences, evening events may start & end earlier and times are subject to seasonal change.
Renovations: Construction is scheduled starting Monday, 5/2/2016 through December 20, 2016 to upgrade the grounds creating a natural organic stage, contemporary state of the art sound and lighting, and a brand new cultural experience. During this time, the lu`au will be relocated to the Pacific Terrace Rooftop of the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.
