"Worst Luau experience ever"
Reviewed December, 2015
We have gone to many Luau's in Hawaii and this was a huge disappointment. The entertainment was great, but how it's operated was really poor. You get a card when you check in and they don't explain how it works - so you walk in and are asked to pay for sodas and other things. We went to get our money our and the bartender told us that this card has money that we can use for drinks (lucky for us we did not throw them out)? No one told us anything about how it worked or how to use it? Then we got our seats - in the back where you can't see anything! The stage is not elevated enough so if you are on the sides toward the back you can't see a thing. We also heard a loud beeping throughout the show - when I asked the servers what it was they said it's the ice machine and it does that all the time - HUH??? Don't go here - there are lots of other amazing luau experiences...

Our first visit to Hawaii and first luau. Beautiful setting, the dancers were fantastic. Food was yummy, we were told that normally they have 40 coaches a night. Lucky for us there was only 3 with many others in cars. Was very comfortable with that many people. Enjoyed all the activities.

First, I think it's amazing that they herd mass crowds through the way they did. That was pretty good, quite Disney-esque. Before the luau gets started you can try your hand at games or canoeing...great for kids. They have a little lagoon area, some small shopping to be done. The bar was great, you can get your tropical vacation beverages as soon as you walk in. That was a plus. It was rather hot waiting around for the show to get started. The preshow was quite cheesy, but interesting as this was my first luau. The dinner was mediocre, maybe that's just traditional hawaiian luau food? The pork was pretty good, the fish was bland, typical rice, pasta salads, lettuce salad, although the desserts were good. The dinner show was entertaining in a Love Boat sort of way. The dancers were great...the employees were pleasant. Like I said, I have nothing to compare it to. I was staying nearby so I picked this luau out of convenience. A local told me the best luau is the one at the Polynesian Cultural Center. So it's up to you if you want to fork out the amount of money for this or head to the North Shore for the PCC.

"Don't waste your money on this luau"

This is our third time in Hawaii and third luau. The quality of this luau compared to others was very poor. We felt like we were being herded like cattle. There were over 1100 people here (per mc announcement). We waited 20-30 minutes for all drinks. Every other luau we have been to, drinks were part of the package, we paid for drinks here and it has been the most expensive luau we have paid for. The dancers were good but couldn't make up for the other shortcomings of this luau. The only reason this gets 2 stars is because the food was really good. Too bad I had to pay $130 per person for a good meal.

This was my second luau. The location is beautiful! The shows are all pretty similar no matter what luau you go to. We did the highest end package with the private seating and service. It wasn't worth it, though. Food was just ok, not much selection compared to the last one I attended in Kauai.

"Cancelled twice ..."

Reviewed May 26, 2016 NEW

We organised a Luao for our trip in Hawaii and decided to do Paradise Cove. On the organised day we all Dressed up, headed down the street to meet the bus at 3:30 only to be told after waiting for the bus that it was cancelled because it was raining at that side of island. Disappointment heaps as we wasted an afternoon when we could of been at the beach. Tried again the next night... Once again dressed up, headed down and actually got on the bus!!! Only to be told once we drove off that it was cancelled again. So had to drive around the block and drop us off. Have no other nights to do this as we had it booked for the end of our stay. Very disappointed that for one, they couldn't even tell us before hand it was cancelled and two, why they don't do it under shelter. Now we miss out on seeing a Hawaiian Luao and another afternoon wasted. If your looking for a Luao in Hawaii, definitely don't try this disorganised company and pick one on the other side of the island.
