"Luau Love"
June, 2018 NEW
I Lved the Island Breeze Luau. It was my first time to visit Hawaii. The luau was not just entertaining and delicious. It was also like watching a living history lesson. I learned about all the Polynesian countries that influenced Hawaii through dance. The unveiling of the pig at the beginning of the dinner portion was also very cool. Watching King Kamehameha and the Royal Court walk in at the beginning showed how important the Royal Family still is to the people of Hawaii. I just want to say Mahalo to Island Breeze for the wonderful experience ????

"Great luau!"

This luau was quite fun. The dancers were all really good and they had a variety of dances which was nice. They took you through the different islands of Polynesia and showed you the differences between the styles. The food was okay, not the best but still tasty and the free alcohol helped make it better! They do have some little activities to do beforehand which we did not participate in but the show was great, the emcee was a good singer and interesting. It was a bit cheesy in parts but overall I had a lot of fun here.

"Best Luau in Hawaii"

My good friend from New Zealand had never been to a luau before and I booked us in to this luau. It was absolutely stunning, culturally traditional, fabulous food, a top class show, beautifully choreographed and great musicians . We had such a fun evening and felt we really got more than we paid for in hawaiian culture and hospitality. Don’t miss an Island Breeze Luau!

The Luau was very nice. Easy to park at the Marriott and when we picked up our tickets in the lobby they validated our ticket so it was only $5. We were early and they were having a craft show in the lobby so we shopped both at the craft show and in the lobby shops. We finally went out and got in line. The line moved quickly. We had our shell lei greeting and they showed us to a table. After we were seated we went out and got complementary mai tais (more like rum punch). They had hula lessons, fake tatoos, and some other activities on the grounds too. They announced the removal of the pig from the imu and we went to watch. After we were seated they had the king and court procession and then some entertainment. There had been a Polynesian dance competition at the Marriott and some groups were still around. They had two of the children’s groups perform which was nice. Then they had their regular Polynesian show while we ate. After the New Zealand group performed a visiting group from New Zealand in the audience did a Haka too so that was pretty cool! The food was basic Luau food but well prepared and good. We would recommend this Luau when visiting the Big Island. Loved the location. Our group was age 26-63 and all had a really nice time.

"Just ok and overpriced"

Get ready for an outside picnic with 300 of your closest friends!! A little overcrowded. Tickets were 100 dollars and I felt like they were overpriced for what you received. Food was overall pretty good. Staff does the best they can with the venue space, but it isn’t the nicest area. Dancers are good as well and tried hard. Overall...probably should have skipped for the price.
