Description

from Haleo Luau
Island Breeze Productions presents Haleo each Monday evening in the incomparable oceanfront setting at Sheraton Keauhou Bay's Bay View Lawn.

Haleo, the “voice of life,” celebrates the history of Keauhou and the heart of those who came from this land. The talented dancers and musicians of Island Breeze Productions invite you to join them on a journey to the past and experience a special time in Hawaiian history.

Held on the oceanfront of the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa, this luau brings you back to a time that is remembered and cherished. From the birth of Kamehameha III to surfing tales of He’eia Bay to the battle of Kuamo’o, performers share the stories of ancient Hawaii through language, culture, music and dance. Keauhou translated into English means “new era.” The area is significant for being the playground of Hawaii’s royalty, ali’i.

Meet the dancers before the show and “talk story.” Enjoy live dinner music under the Hala trees on the southern shores of Keauhou Bay and indulge in a Hawaiian feast that’s so unique it can only be found in paradise.

"Haleo Luau"

Every Luau says they are the best. I read reviews on them all and decided on the Luau at the Sheraton Resort in Kona since we were staying there and the reviews were great! Not disappointed. My 2 daughters weren't too excited when I told them we were going to a luau but quickly changed their minds once we got there. Hawaii weather was great, food was fantastic, setting was great and the entertainment was a 10+. A must to see when you are on the Big Island.

Tip: Bring your appetite there are so many choices. The pulled pork from the pig roasted all day was the best that I have ever eaten!!!

We were excited to go to a luau and had heard the one at the Sheraton was the best on the big island. Wasn’t worth our time or money. Buffet was very average. Sweets also very average. Show was just okay but performers worked hard just seemed long and drawn out. Have seen local shows in Fiji and New Zealand and they are 5 times better than a luau Hate to write such a poor review but it didn’t meet our expectations by a long shot.

This was just a great evening, the weather was perfect, the setting was lovely, the food was great, ( I did try the poi with the raw fish and it was surprisingly tasty, the poi on it's own, not so much), and the entertainment was outstanding. It was our first and probably only Luau but we thought it was great. Highly recommend it.

I have been to different islands in Hawaii this has been my favorite Luau. Not only was the food fantastic but so was the setting. we really enjoyed the show and was entertaining for our 4 kids under 3 (set of twins even). We got the preferred seating get that if available it was worth it. We found free parking no problem. The photography was spot on we ended up buying the pictures as we all were looking at him and smiling...bonus..couldn't ask for nicer staff as well all the way from checking in to seating to eating to entertainment!

This is my first visit to to Hawaii so of course a luau was on the agenda. It was a beautiful night at the Sheraton. I am not a huge rum fan but my Mai Tai was delicious. I could have easily thrown back a few more if I didn’t have to drive considering drinks are included in the cost. The food was fabulous and there was plenty to sample. I’m not an adventurous food eater but I did try the poi, something I probably won’t again but hey, “when in Hawaii”, right? The poke, salmon, and teriyaki beef were my favorites and the chocolate cake was the delicious and the perfect size considering I’m trying to not indulge in too much sugar. The show was phenomenal, from the band to the storytelling and the dancing. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening,

My husband and I are so happy we decided to attend this Lu'au! It was a perfect evening. The Dancers and Musicians were so talented. The Hostess was very charismatic and knowledgeable about Hawaiian history. The food was plentiful and very tasty. We enjoyed trying several traditional local dishes. We topped the evening off with an amazing sunset. I would highly recommend this event!
