Description

from Germaine's Luau Hawaii
Take in the rich cultural heritage of the Pacific Islands at Germaine's "Too Good to Miss" Luau. Enjoy the spectacular show delivered to you at the ocean’s edge, under the stars and palm trees. Be touched by the magic of ancient Hawaii and its splendor. Feel the touch of Aloha. Experience a Hawaiian luau like no other and discover why visiting Germaine’s Luau once may not be enough.

Let Germaine’s Luau take you back 100 years & 27 miles from Waikiki to our exclusive beachfront property on the shores of West Oahu. Since 1976, over 3 million visitors to our Islands have become a part of the Germaine’s Ohana. Germaine’s Luau has been acclaimed as America’s Best Luau in “America’s Best 100” and has been filmed by ABC’s “Good Morning America”. Come to where you will still experience a traditional luau that recaptures the “Spirit of Old Hawaii”.

Upon arrival, all of our guests are traditionally welcomed with a Hawaiian Shell Lei. The sounding of the conch shell announces the beginning of the evening’s festivities! Picture taking opportunities await as the Royal Court of Polynesia makes its entrance. As the imu (underground oven) is uncovered, the savory aroma of the Kalua Pua’a (roasted pig) – your main course of the evening – reminds us that dinner is soon to be served.

Our all-you-can-eat buffet features an array of tasty Hawaiian – American selections, which include traditional Island favorites sure to please even the less adventurous.

The night is filled with beauty, color, and excitement as our multi-talented kane (men) and wahine (women) take you through a non-stop, action-packed journey throughout the Islands of Tahiti, Samoa, New Zealand as well as the romantic hula of Hawaii.

"Exciting Luau"

We really enjoyed the luau and festivities from the time we got there to the time we left. The dancers and the buffet were great. Our tour guide "Greg" made the bus ride go by quickly with his wit and knowledge.

"LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS LUAU!!"
July, 2016
The Germaine Luau was absolutely fantastic and the best of two luaus that we attended while in Hawaii. We paid a little extra for seats closer to stage, and the one on one service and spacious seating was well worth it. Everything from the greeting as we arrived to the friendly staff was so impressive. The beautiful ocean waves were within just a few feet of your arrival area, make a stunning backdrop for photographs. We absolutely loved this luau and the dancers were amazing and talented. Our 32 year old son was chosen to dance with a female hula dancer, and it was just one of the best times we will always remember. If we ever get to return to Hawaii, we will go back to this luau for sure.

"Aloha Germaine!"
January, 2015
The setting is beautiful for Germaines's Luau on the shore of West Oahu . The show is right on the oceans edge in Kapolei. The sunset was amazing and during the festivities you could hear the sounds of the ocean. They have the most kind and helpful service and everyone makes you feel like you are there for them! The stories told in dance were mesmerizing, we even attempted the hula with them. The smell of the underground oven, roasting the pig, lets you know that you are in for an amazing feast. We dressed up for the occasion and the Luau was wonderful.

We booked online and took the shuttle from wikiki close to our hotel, the lady in charge was extremely nice and kind, she made our night very memorable. The location is a little far and expensive but as you already know there's no luau cheap or close. Food was great, performance was awesome and I would totally recommend it.

This was my first luau and trip to Hawaii and on our list of must-do’s. The service was wonderful. We upgraded to the Plumeria package and it was truly worth the money to have no wait at the bar, premium seating and your meal delivered instead of having to go to the buffet. The show was great and you can tell the employees enjoy their jobs. Mahalo!

"Show good, average food"

A host joined us on our bus and told us tour information along the way. She did not fit my expectation of a tour guide...usually thought of as fun loving and uplifting. This lady was all business. Once we arrived, seating is on picnic type tables in the open. So if it rains, you will get wet. And it rains often in Hawaii. The food was meh at best. Certainly not worth the $100 a person. The show was entertaining and cultural, but a little long. I did see some teenagers asleep at their tables.

"Nice Show, friendly people!"

I thought Germaine’s Luau was average for 2 reasons: the food and the drinks. The food didn’t have any taste to eat - mind you I am vegetarian and didn’t eat any meat. But the sides, salad, desert and vegetarian entree served were just disgusting and cold. The drinks were super sugary and we ended up not even drinking all the drinks included in our Plumeria package. The hosts were nice, but Mr. Silva spoke so fast and unclear for the first half of the show that we couldn’t understand anything he said and it got pretty annoying. He resembled a speaker in an auction. The friendly reception, family like atmosphere and show are outstanding. Love that it wasn’t overcrowded and front row sitting was amazing. The location by the beach is also very paradise-like. I wish people could hang out and dance/ party a little after the show instead of just finishing the show and bye!

"A MUST DO .."
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

You wrote a review for Germaine’s Luau One minute ago 5.0 star rating 4/14/2018 A MUST DO !!! There are so many luau in Waikiki...we been to quite a few each time we go to Hawaii...but must say the Germaine's Luau treat you LIKE FAMILY !! The last time we been to Germaine's Luau was like 20 years ago. We returned again to see how it compared to the others we been to recently.. and we WERE NOT disappointed !!! They took really special care of us when I told them we were there to celebrate my son birthday and acceptance into a high school's STEM program. They made him felt proud and even picked him on stage to do the 3-man competition show. Unfortunately he lost because a large group of a college school band was also picked on stag, but none the less, it was a fun filled special night for him. The foods were GREAT !! They did NOT take away the foods during the show, like some other luau did. The bar remained opened until near the end with unlimited flow of drink..yay ! And the desserts were there until the end of the show for those that felt hungry afterward ! Highly recommended if you wanted to go to a luau that is NOT commercialize or sitting on the rooftop or in a stadium style - Germaine's Luau is family style, where you can walk around, eat and watched the show...go stand near the bar/buffet for more foods or drinks... a fun family style is Germaine's Luau !! We highly recommended. The only draw back was we took the package where we were transported via Germain's Luau bus from/to Waikiki, so we felt rush to get back on the bus at the end. I would like to stay to take pictures with the Hula show performances... because they gave my son a poster. It would of completed the night!
