Description

from Germaine's Luau Hawaii
Take in the rich cultural heritage of the Pacific Islands at Germaine's "Too Good to Miss" Luau. Enjoy the spectacular show delivered to you at the ocean’s edge, under the stars and palm trees. Be touched by the magic of ancient Hawaii and its splendor. Feel the touch of Aloha. Experience a Hawaiian luau like no other and discover why visiting Germaine’s Luau once may not be enough.

Let Germaine’s Luau take you back 100 years & 27 miles from Waikiki to our exclusive beachfront property on the shores of West Oahu. Since 1976, over 3 million visitors to our Islands have become a part of the Germaine’s Ohana. Germaine’s Luau has been acclaimed as America’s Best Luau in “America’s Best 100” and has been filmed by ABC’s “Good Morning America”. Come to where you will still experience a traditional luau that recaptures the “Spirit of Old Hawaii”.

Upon arrival, all of our guests are traditionally welcomed with a Hawaiian Shell Lei. The sounding of the conch shell announces the beginning of the evening’s festivities! Picture taking opportunities await as the Royal Court of Polynesia makes its entrance. As the imu (underground oven) is uncovered, the savory aroma of the Kalua Pua’a (roasted pig) – your main course of the evening – reminds us that dinner is soon to be served.

Our all-you-can-eat buffet features an array of tasty Hawaiian – American selections, which include traditional Island favorites sure to please even the less adventurous.

The night is filled with beauty, color, and excitement as our multi-talented kane (men) and wahine (women) take you through a non-stop, action-packed journey throughout the Islands of Tahiti, Samoa, New Zealand as well as the romantic hula of Hawaii.

The evening also includes unlimited soft drinks, coffee & tea as well as 3 beverage coupons for all adults 21 years & older.

"Exciting Luau"
April, 2017 NEW
We really enjoyed the luau and festivities from the time we got there to the time we left. The dancers and the buffet were great. Our tour guide "Greg" made the bus ride go by quickly with his wit and knowledge.
Tip: Bring comforable shoes or scandels to walk in the soft sand.

"LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS LUAU!!"
July, 2016
The Germaine Luau was absolutely fantastic and the best of two luaus that we attended while in Hawaii. We paid a little extra for seats closer to stage, and the one on one service and spacious seating was well worth it. Everything from the greeting as we arrived to the friendly staff was so impressive. The beautiful ocean waves were within just a few feet of your arrival area, make a stunning backdrop for photographs. We absolutely loved this luau and the dancers were amazing and talented. Our 32 year old son was chosen to dance with a female hula dancer, and it was just one of the best times we will always remember. If we ever get to return to Hawaii, we will go back to this luau for sure.
Tip: Be sure to be hungry, as the food is amazing and plentiful!!

"Aloha Germaine!"
January, 2015
The setting is beautiful for Germaines's Luau on the shore of West Oahu . The show is right on the oceans edge in Kapolei. The sunset was amazing and during the festivities you could hear the sounds of the ocean. They have the most kind and helpful service and everyone makes you feel like you are there for them! The stories told in dance were mesmerizing, we even attempted the hula with them. The smell of the underground oven, roasting the pig, lets you know that you are in for an amazing feast. We dressed up for the occasion and the Luau was wonderful.
Tip: The bus ride is a blast and you will need to be sure that you prepare to tip the driver and his accomplice.

This activity was one of the many wonderful experiences while in Hawaii. This was an excellent family experience; all the staff are friendly, professional, knowledgable and know how to engage their customers. From the pick-up to the return this whole event was "entertainment plus". I would recommend this event to family and friends, as it was a festive cultural evening. Thank you to all the staff for the welcome, the show and the hospitality. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the festivities.

"True meaning of "Ohana""

The food was good, the entertainment was great but what made the evening special was the atmosphere which projected a feeling of being with one's family. Aloha and Mahalo (hello and thank you) are the words most of us associate with Hawaii but on our recent trip to Oahu, and more specifcally, at Germaine's luau, we were introduced to the word, Ohana. It means family and Ms. Paulette Watson, and Germaine's staff welcomed us into theirs. Paulette was to say the least fantastic, let me explain why. My wife and I were going to Oahu, Hawaii with 8 members of our family to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We wanted to renew our vows with a Hawaiian ceremony on the beach and we wanted the reception to be held at a luau. We contacted several known tourist luau's and were informed that the only thing they could do was provide us the luau and nothing else. That did not deter my wife, she came across Germaine's and asked that I contact them about our needs. You probably guessed it, I got to speak with Paulette, who told me not only was her place the right one for the reception but she worked with a minister (Kalehua-see his 5-star review also) who performs weddings on their property and who she said would love to officate our renewal service. She was right he did perform a moving and memorable service (again, see his 5-star review). Paulette's position at Germaine's Luau is the Executive Director of Sales and Public Relations, so we thought she would have handed the planning and execution of our ceremony and reception to someone on her staff. Well we and you for that matter guessed wrong, not only did she drive an hour from their headquarters to meet us on-site, she stayed the entire evening (6 hours), including being at our renewal ceremony and walking us to our cars in the end. Prior to the luau, Paulette never met us and only communicated via phone and e-mail but one would have never knew that for if you saw her with us you would have thought we were part of Germaine's and for that we are forever greatful for her showing us the true meaning of "Ohana". I expected this to be cheesy and really it probably was, but I loved it. The setting is beautiful. The show is well organized and put together. It was really entertaining and great to learn more and see more of other cultures. The drinks were good and not strong. The food was also excellent and plentiful.
