"Great Time!"
October, 2018
We had a group of 7 and each one of us said that the luau was one of our favorite things we did while in Hawaii! It was nice to walk through the aquarium for a bit before we went outside. Being greeted with leis when we walked in then being able to make lei bracelets was an awesome experience. We all were able to get our complimentary drink then later fill the pineapple with cocktails!! There was different fun stations to take part in before the show that made the luau so much better. From the host to the bartenders to the performers, everyone was so nice. The food was great and plenty of it. And the show was awesome!

"Great performance but terrible food"
October, 2018
The performers were wonderful, they were 5 stars! The location was not terrible but not great. The aquarium did not stay open and we were rushed to see it by 6pm. The luau itself is a fenced in area, not very private. Could see people walking the beach. The food was absolutely terrible. Almost inedible. The pork was over salted. Chicken dry and the appetizers were a joke. I would not recommend anyone attend this for the price paid. Go to Paradise Cove!

Lots of fun! Great drinks and a very tastey buffet! I thought there would be a couple more dances to watch, but over all I would definitely come back to this Luau again!

"Amazing Experience"
August, 2018
This show is worth every penny! The aquarium was great to start off in. We really enjoyed the walk through. The view from the Luau was incredible! We were right on the beach and we got some amazing pictures of the sun going down. The pre-show activities are really good and the drinks were good. The entire staff was amazing and worked really hard to make sure everyone was having a great time. The MC and band were great. Bring your appetite, there's plenty of food and it was all excellent.

The show was incredible! The performers were incredible and really looked like they were having fun.

"True Hawaiian Experience!"
August, 2018
This was my second time to the Diamond Head Luau and it was even better than the first! The performance is always so fun and educational but the food this time around was exceptional! I loved the buffet style. You can try a bit of everything and it was all so flavorful. A great selection of cocktails too. The atmosphere, the people, nothing is ever too difficult for the crew. Loved it. And I'd even go back for a third.

Tip: Be curious. There are a few activities around the seating area that you can participate in prior to the show. Lei making, play a ukelele etc. but can be easily missed if not pointed out to you. Explore to see what else you can experience :)

"Great experience in the shadow of Diamond Head"
July, 2018
Our party of four had a great time at the Luau. The location was a short trip from our Waikiki Beach hotel. The venue was great--just a few steps from the beach. We all enjoyed the farm to table food. The entertainment was fun and educational. We were not traveling with children but the kids in attendance had a great time with the pre-show activities. Great food, great entertainment, great location.

My husband, young children and I attended the Diamond Head Luau on 12/6/18. I have been to several Luaus in the past but this was BY FAR the best. From the moment we stepped in the door we felt welcomed like family. We immediately got a lei and had our picture taken. Before the luau started we had the opportunity to walk through the Waikiki Aquarium for about 30 minutes (included with Luau ticket). After walking through the aquarium there were several interactive “stations” for adults or kids.... orchid bracelet making, palm leaf head band making, learning to use the poi ball and hula lessons. The luau performances were very entertaining and very interactive. Again, I have been to many luaus in the past and they were pretty cheesy. This show was far from cheesy. The star of the show however was the food! It was farm to table style. There were sooo many options and everything was so fresh and delicious. There was definitely something for everyone. Overall an amazing and very memorable experience!

"Good entertainment, limited food options, ended early"

The entertainment was very good, but that's about it. Before we booked the tickets it said it was from 520-8pm, but the show itself was only an hour and a half. A lot of this time which we thought we would be receiving entertainment the entire time was waiting around for the food to get started. They had different "stations" you could go talk to each of the performers, but it was not luau entertainment. You get a free mai tai, then 2 additional drink tickets. Drinks are small. They mentioned a pineapple drink over the loudspeaker and how they were selling out, so everyone rushed up to the bar to get one, only to find out they wanted $12 for it. No thanks. I'm glad we didn't pay extra for VIP. It's a very small seating area to begin with, so the people who paid extra didn't get any better view than I did. The buffet is extremely small. The food was good, but barely any options. There was also no dessert, at least I don't think there was. I heard them say "dessert" at one point over the microphone, but it was at a time where I didn't want to get up and leave my seat to miss any entertainment. When the show was over, there was no dessert to be found and I never saw anybody else eating any. Around 730 the show was done and we were told there would be fireworks at 745. Well the fireworks were way across the island, not even associated with the luau itself. I felt jipped that the mediocre fireworks was considered part of the show. Again, we were fully expecting full on luau dancing entertainment for at least a minimum of 2hours when you say that the luau is from 520-8. It is very expensive for what you get. I've been to luaus on all the other islands and this one is not even in the same ballpark as the others I've been to. Considering Diamondhead is rated the highest in Honolulu, that's quite scary. I wouldn't recommend this for what they are charging for the price (and I even used the 10% discount) Very disappointed, considering this was a splurge for our honeymoon.

This is a relatively small luau but the quality is very good. the staff are excellent and there is time before the show to take part in several local activities like making a lei, palm weaving, tattoos and others. The entrance fee allows you to visit the aquarium during your visit, but that only takes 20 minutes to see it all. The food was amazingly good for a luau. The show was kind of slow at times, but the fire show at the end was really good. We were able to walk to this one from our hotel along the beach in Waikiki. That makes it nice not to have to travel for an hour after the show to get back to your room.
