Getting to tour the aquarium and the hands on activities were a plus. Got to make a headpiece so much fun. Sunset was breathtaking. We had VIP package so got to set closer to front. Show is excellent. 10 year old fire dancer was amazing. The food and drinks were good. This is the only luau I have been to so have nothing to compare it to . I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

Great sunset view, tasty food, fun entertainment & show for the whole family. Plus you have access to the Waikiki Aquarium before of after the show.
Tip: Parking is limited; find street parking.

I really enjoyed this Luau. The show was fun as was the venue. I would highly recommend it. There was plenty of food and they did offer people to come up for seconds. They had activities prior to the show.

We really enjoyed the luau, we booked the day of so it was great to get tickets at such short notice. We also got great seats by the stage. Stay away from the groupon deal, I tried to purchase and was warned by the booking guy for the luau that they only honour a couple per night, which is not great! They also don't answer their phones so you can't even call and ask them. The luau is at the back of the Aquarium, and not on the beach as advertised. It is also not the only (and not even) luau on the beach in Oahu. I think the Paradise Cove one is, but it was sold out. The food was very nice, but buffet was very rushed. We had some security guy come over and hurry us to the buffet. You also get one Mai Tai and a free drink, but the drink is only soft drink or beer really, so if you want an extra cocktail you have to pay extra, $16 a cocktail is a bit overpriced. I would also have been nice to see the actual pig and none of the food in the buffet was labeled so you didn't know what you were getting. Luckily though it was all nice. The staff were very friendly, the bar staff in particular. The dancing was great, you got to see native dances of the different islands of Polynesia, although it would have been nice to have had a break between the buffet and the dancing as I missed some of it. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, but it did feel rushed in places. I also didn't like how they divided people, so if you pay a bit more you get special treatment. You also get to visit the Aquarium for free afterwards, which is beautiful. If you are driving, however, parking is a nightmare!

We loved the activities before the luau! We had a chance to interact with some of the performers. The food & drinks were good. And the show was really enjoyable & funny! The location of this luau is great if you have not rented a car, because you can walk from anywhere in Waikiki beach! Also, you get to visit the aquarium after the show for free!

Do not buy the Groupon for this luau. We purchased a Groupon for this event to attend the luau for our 10th anniversary. When we called 5 days before the event to make our reservations we were told that they were no longer accepting Groupons for this month. We spent $200 on a worthless Groupon. The customer service at Diamond Head Luau told us that we could purchase another package for $179 and then get a refund from Groupon. Not wanting to lose our reservations for that weekend (we were only in town for a few days) I went ahead and bought the additional package over the phone. When I contacted Groupon I was told that the voucher was non-refundable and basically that I was out of luck. After a few more frustrating emails back and forth with Groupon, we are still out the original $200. Read other online reviews and you will see that this is not the first time this has happened. It was my mistake to not read other online reviews before purchasing the Groupon. Hopefully this will save someone else from the very same mistake I made. Groupon's final response to me was that they had reached out to the vendor and smoothed out any misunderstanding so hopefully I wouldn't have this problem again. Well, that doesn't help me much since I'm no longer in Hawaii. Maybe it will help someone else though. Frustrating experience overall.
