Getting to tour the aquarium and the hands on activities were a plus. Got to make a headpiece so much fun. Sunset was breathtaking. We had VIP package so got to set closer to front. Show is excellent. 10 year old fire dancer was amazing. The food and drinks were good. This is the only luau I have been to so have nothing to compare it to . I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

"Great Entertainment but not the Food"

If you're looking for entertainment, the dancers and activities were fun. The folks provided awesome customer service. They even provided comic relief which great! But this is not the luau for the food. It was okay. We couldn't really enjoy the views because of the wired fence. One experience was enough.

Didn't meet expectations. Show was good, food not. Seemed very short. Nice to see aquarium. Seating didn't allow good view of show (table 10). Band was good.

"Good food, show so-so"

This was our first luau so maybe I'm judging unfairly since nothing to compare it to. Food was good. Entertainment enjoyable but more emcee talking than actual show. Stage should be more elevated for better viewing from all seats. Three hour time is misleading. First hour is getting in the door and getting photo. Then artisan crafts that were ok. Actual dinner and show length about 1 1/2 hours.

It was our second visit to Hawaii but first time for the kids! Read good reviews of the Diamond Head Luau so we booked tickets! My boys had lots fun even before the show started! Played the traditional Hawaiian musical instruments, had tattoo, had their alcohol free maitai... I will recommend the VIP ticket. The food was served to your table so don't have to wait in the queue to get your food... when the show started it was even better! Also you get chance to explore the aquarium after the show finished!!
