"Diamond Head Luao was OK"
February, 2018
It was raining on the day of the event, and it was raining so hard and our food was getting wet. I wish there was some kind of cover for the tables. Food was OK too.

"Fake lua"
November, 2017
Having been to many luas on many islands here, this is very "commercial" and food way on the cheap side, not at all worth the money, or even half the cost. This is NOT a realistic lua, nor were the dances very "hawaiian"...they were all kicked up to be commercial and entertain, not to show you how a real lua is in Hawaii. Food? Poor to fair, and VERY on the cheap side...believe it or not the tuna poke was TWO SMALL PIECES in a small plastic container, as was the poi....I have NEVER seen such CHEAP lua meal. Entertaining, yes. Real? No. Worth the money? No....

"GREAT TIME!"
October, 2016
Getting to tour the aquarium and the hands on activities were a plus. Got to make a headpiece so much fun. Sunset was breathtaking. We had VIP package so got to set closer to front. Show is excellent. 10 year old fire dancer was amazing. The food and drinks were good. This is the only luau I have been to so have nothing to compare it to . I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

"Expensive but very entertaining"

One of the most expensive luau's in Honolulu, but the entertainment was great. Can't say much about the food as it was so,so. The place is a great location, and walking distance from most hotels, and thus the reason no transportation is provided. No need to pay extra to sit up front and you'll get a great view from almost any seat that you take. Took this luau as it was not as large as others (maybe 125 people). Everything felt like it was on a timer, but the entertainment more than made up for all of its shortcomings.

This was our first luau so we have nothing to judge it by, but we loved it! The staff were very happy and helpful all night. We loved the food, and the drinks were very enjoyable. My daughters loved the various stations to play ukulele, make leis and learn hula moves. The show was breath taking. It's not cheep, but we felt it was worth every cent.

"Family friendly fun"

We had a lot of fun at this luau. The staff was friendly and it was definitely a smaller, more intimate venue. I never expect much from a buffet, but the “farm to table” experience was delicious. We tried everything, and of course some options were better than others...but all were good and well-presented. Our family participated in the cultural activities beforehand like the lei making and hula lessons. The show was also fun and interactive. I would say it was a nice experience overall. Even though it was pouring rain all day, they did a good job keeping us as dry as possible. The weather obviously was out of their control!

"Solid Luau!"

This was the second luau we have been to, (first was in Maui). Our tickets were part of our Go Oahu card purchased ahead of time. On the evening of our luau, we arrived on time and managed to find parking super easily although the lot was small, so I'd say we got lucky. The line up was long and definitely did not move quickly. When we finally got inside though, it was great! There were several stations set up where you could make leis, play traditional Hawaiian instruments etc. Perfect for adults and kids alike. We had about an hour before dinner and show started, so it was ample time to take pictures against a beautiful backdrop as well as experience the stations and get drinks. You're also allowed to tour the aquarium whose grounds' serve as the setting for the luau. Once seated, the show was pretty entertaining and the food was served buffet style. The line up to get food was fairly organized for the size of crowd and we felt that it was better quality than the previous luau we had been to. It wasn't amazing, but it was good. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend checking it out.
