We rented two condos at Wailea Beach Villas for our extended family of 11, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is the 3rd time we've rented there (different units each time) and it is always impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Each unit will have everything you need to cook and serve meals, plenty of towels, and laundry facilities. The only time you'll hear other guests is when lounging on the lanai. It's rare to even meet another guest on the elevator, as each elevator only serves a few condos. Steps to the beach through beautiful grounds, you'll find towels, sunscreen, lemon iced water & beach chairs/umbrellas provided by the beach staff (you can just tip them at the end of your stay). Depending on the owner of your condo, you may find beach toys in your unit, or look by the family pool, where guests tend to leave their purchased toys for others at the end of their vacations.

"The units need better maintenance...."

This is our second visit to this property. The first visit was flawless. This time we stayed in a unit that had a lot of maintenance issues with the Lanai doors and screens, a plugged BBQ exhaust filter that would blow smoke back into the condo, lingering TV/internet issues and neighbor that liked to smoke pot 24/7. The staff is great but for what you pay, you would expect more.

"Absolute value... even at these prices"

Gotta say I was dubious that $1000 plus a day would seem like a "deal." All expectations met and exceeded... almost a smoking deal! Here's a tip: mid September to just before Thanksgiving is a little slower. You feel like have the whole resort to yourself. That said, this totally upscale setting never gets uncomfortably crowded. The air conditioner in J 205 requires doors and windows be closed... beyond that the sliding doors to the deck must be "lined up" with small markings... it is possible for these doors to be closed but still no air conditioning... a challenge in paradise. Many of the units are called "Penthouse." Generally a "penthouse" is on the top most story. However any specially designed apartment may be called a "penthouse." You learn something every trip. Feel free to ask me a question. If the review was helpful, go ahead and give me a helpful vote!!

"Another fantastic vacation at Wailea Beach Villas, met every expectation and then some!"

Just returned from our second stay at Wailea Beach Villas this time in PH301. All the amenities of home with large sq ft, plus LUXURIOUS! The ocean view and sunsets were breathtaking and the lanai wrapped around the side giving us twice the space. It was clean, private, extremely quiet and the adult pool and allotted beach area meant that we usually had the pool to ourselves and always had chairs and an umbrella set up for us on the beach. The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs - especially the maintenance crew (Tony) who quickly saw to any small needs. Also a shout out to concierge Happy who went above and beyond to locate a lost camera and had it sent by taxi to meet us at the airport before we left. THAT was amazing and made our trip. It also exemplifies Wailea Beach Villas mission to make every trip memorable. We had many beach patrons staying at other properties near by stop and ask us about Wailea Beach Villas. They all complained that their pools were crowded and noisy and that if they didn't get up early enough, they would not get a chair on the beach! We told them they were staying at the wrong property! They would see us in the adult pool and ask or comment on how we were the only ones in there! That's Wailea Beach Villas and how it runs there. We also prefer to cook at home and were very comfortable with the provided professional grade bbq and kitchen amenities. Can't wait until we are able to return for a third time! (FYI October is a great time to visit Maui. No crowds! We were on the road to Hana and sometimes didn't see a car for a mile! The shops at Wailea just a few short steps behind us were the perfect place to find our souvenirs.)
