"Sheraton PK needs a huge Renovation"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5

We have stayed at the PK in the same room (422) thirty plus times. We have always requested to Alex the Reservations Manager for our room 422 be available for us. This last visit was terrible, Alex was no longer working at the PK, I think, not sure, but think Marriott have taken it over. The lifts were filthy, you couldn't read some of the floor numbers to select. Staff not very helpful, we had two men knocking on our door, dressed in the Hotels uniform, I answered and said we would be going out soon, thinking they were the hotel cleaners, they look in and saw my husband and said they would come back later. I reported this to the Hotel reception and all they said was " they didn't know who they could be, and sorry we cannot help you". So much for Hotel security. I think the poor PK is in need of a huge renovation. It sadly has had it's day - so many things that are so dated - location fantastic though. We will definitely NOT be staying here next year.

Great staff - good service and close to beach, shops (International Market 5 mins) and to lots of good Restaurants. If you need to relax and not leave the Hotel, the pool is great, and you can book one of several small private 'cabanas', to blob at the pool out with a little more shade / privacy. Restaurants and room service is also very good.

Beautiful room looking towards the ocean. Hotel has been renovated. The staff were fantastic and as I was badly injured they provide me with a room on arrival. While this hotel is not on the beach it is very close and is in the center of the Waikiki strip.

The Hotel is located across the street from the beach but it’s right in the middle of all the great shopping places. As a Marriott Platinum member I felt they should have held a suite for me but they never give you up grades on a holiday week. The rooms are small and older the bathroom is really small and very old. The pool is small and not a great place to hang out. Gym was ok very big but no one was managing the gym so it wasn’t that clean. They also had no water and I called a few times to ask what was going on and they never brought up any water. Also kids in the gym without parents. The pool bar was not that great and the bar tenders seemed to be in a bad mood most of the time. They never really looked up to take my order or say hi I’ll be with you soon. One time they gave me a broken glass to drink out of and I know that happens but they way they treated me after was very weird. I wasn’t going to say anything as is didn’t cut my lips but the fact that I felt Uncomfortable afterwards from the bar man was the weird part. The waitresses are all very nice and very friendly they came over to help me when didn’t sit at the bar. In fact they went out of the way to help me and be very nice to me. The hotel front desk was happy and friendly and she wanted to help me more but seemed to be holding back for some reason. The trip and reservations desk was good and helpful. They say as an Platinum elite member yeah hey a free camera go pro for the day but they never had any you need to Reserve way in advance and even then might not get one. They should hold a few for VIP people or just not offer it as a bonus.
