Description

from Mauna Lani Point
Check-In: 11:00am Check-Out: 2:00pm
Mauna Lani, traditionally known as Kalahuipua'a, this historical place was once where Hawaiian royalty retreated to replenish their Hawaiian souls. Today this special place is called Mauna Lani, meaning "mountain facing the heavens". Mauna Lani's carefully planned and preserved 3,200 acre environment has become the standard by which luxury resorts are measured.

Surrounded by majestic mountain views of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, Hualalai, and Kohala striking emerald green fairways, open fields of black lava, white sand beaches, and dramatic ocean coastline, this resort is designed in simple harmony with the natural splendor of the 'aina" land. Truly a tranquil oasis.

Situated on the Kohala Coast’s most dramatic tropical oceanfront location, Mauna Lani Point is the only oceanfront luxury villa accommodations in the resort. Striking views of the blue Pacific contrast against the vibrant greens of Hawaii’s most famous signature golf hole rimmed by the dense black lava.

Situated on 19-spectacular acres, this gated community has sophisticated one- and two-bedroom air-conditioned tropical luxury villas that offer gourmet kitchens, expansive living and dining areas with vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans, and private lanais.

Ideal for family and friends on vacation, Mauna Lani Point offers a spacious 1,300 – 1,900 square feet of tropical luxury along with resort hotel services including daily maid, concierge and bell services. A private recreation center, with heated waterfall pool, whirlpool spa, sauna and gas grills, is dedicated just for guests. Complimentary shuttle service is available and operates within the resort.

"Nowhere better on the big island"

My wife and I have stayed here multiple times over the years and both agree this is the nicest area on the Big Island (which is the best island). The complex is gated and within a 10 min. walk or 2 min. drive to a great beach with great snorkeling. There are many really good restaurants within a 5-15 min. drive and if you don't want to drive go down to the pool and grill your own food. It's worth the extra money to stay in a home rather than a hotel. Stay Golden

"unit f 104"

The unit F 104 was a downstairs unit which I would advise not to get because of the views but the reason I would not stay there again is the bed. Very uncomfortable bed even with the boards they had under the mattress didnt help. They need to spring for a new bed. The unit was very clean but they offer no maid service unless you pay for it separate. Also the ac unit wont go below 72 so if you want it any cooler too bad. The unit was quiet which was nice.

"Very nice condo, recommended"

We spent a week here in condo H 202 and were very happy with it. Chose it thanks to trip advisor advice. Nice ocean view- in fact we saw whales while sitting on our porch numerous times. Nicely decorated, quite spacious, well furnished, excellent maid service, and Mauna Lani Point is a very mellow place.

"Comfortable Condos with Stunning Views"

We stayed at the Mauna Lani Point, unit C101, over Thanksgiving and found our two bedroom condominium to be well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the furnishings were up to date and reflected the Hawaiian aesthetic. We loved the Beach Club where we ate most of our lunches and were delighted with the fantastic snorkeling right off the beach where we spotted sea turtles and eels along with dozens of species of fish. We also played tennis, enjoyed some great walks to adjacent properties and ate some great meals at nearby restaurants. Oh and we used the pool a fare amount which is hardly used (there is always a lounge chair available). I would highly recommend this property for its location, comfort and amenities. One thing to be aware of: we found a number of dead cockroaches in our unit. Clearly they had recently sprayed for them as we did not see any live specimen. However, please know that roaches can be a problem in many properties on the Big Island. We quickly got over our queasiness.

"Classic Resorts staff were amazing!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed December 30, 2016
We stayed 6 days in Unit C203 the week before Christmas and it was a combination of nirvana and decadent. The unit had wonderful views of the signature 15th tee block and sunsets. Kitchen was well-stocked as we cooked 4 dinners there easily saving over $100 per night for two people. But what really stood out was the service by the Classic Resorts staff and housekeeping. I left orange running shoes and snorkeling equipment in our unit, and the staff mailed the stuff to me. In particular, Silver and Irene were awesome with this follow-up over the hectic Christmas weekend, and the person who checked us in was very professional and thorough. Mahalo Classic Resorts!
