We are in the Molokai Tower in this same resort (Marriott's Maui Ocean Club), and there doesn't appear to be a way to leave a review for that, so I'm leaving it here. First of all, this place is gorgeous. The view from the room is absolutely stunning, with the full ocean off to the right and the beautiful green mountains to the left. We are in a two bedroom (rooms 7001/7002) which is very large and well decorated. We couldn't get a unit in one of the new towers (Napili and Lahaina, which have full kitchens) (we booked last minute), so we don't have a full kitchen in the unit, but the kitchenette here is just fine. Plus, there is a full communal kitchen just at the bottom of our elevator, so we can use that if we need to. The kitchenette is just fine for breakfasts and sandwich lunches, which is all we wanted it for anyway. No garbage disposal, FYI. A really good feature is three FULL bathrooms in this unit, so each of us gets his/her own bathroom. We are spoiled! Fantastic water pressure in showers and they drain perfectly. There are some minuses, and they're irritating enough to mention: sometimes you get excellent service from front desk/guest relations, and sometimes not. It usually takes a long time for them to answer the phone. The TV/DVD remotes are awful and the front desk acts like you are putting them out when you call. We needed new batteries, and we had to learn you have to put in a hyphen to get a channel to come on. We are not here to watch TV, but it is nice in the evenings after dinner. The front desk calls back very quickly to see whether your problem was taken care of. We waited 30 minutes last night for the "engineer" to come up to tell us how to play the DVD player, when there were instructions on the back of one of the papers they gave us - no clue why the lady at the front desk didn't just say to look at that! We would have been happy to, and I guess I should have read every piece of paper before I called, but we are on vacation! The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing sometimes. The couch in the living room is absolutely TERRIBLE. You cannot sit on it comfortably at all. This is almost a deal breaker really - how dumb to have such an uncomfortable couch. It folds out into a bed which is weirdly very comfy though for a fold-out, so we have left the bed pulled out to sit on as our "couch." The view out the living room is gorgeous, so you want to be able to see it from the living room as well as the balconies. There is a mildew smell in the room, so the engineer is here to change the AC filters; hopefully that will fix it. He acts put out as well. The drive up here from the airport was really long b/c traffic was seriously bad. I barely got over 30 mph. Seriously bad. It took well over an hour to go 22 miles. Once you get here, though, I think it was worth it. The grounds down by the pool are so beautiful and well done! The pool is very nice, and there are not a ton of kids here this week, so we appreciate that. All in all, the pluses far outweigh the negatives, but they have got to replace these awful couches. Finally, DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS AT THE AIRPORT!!!! Over an hour wait in line, snotty service, and all the while a TV blasting infomercials! They wouldn't turn it down. It was like torture. She then told me to go out front and they would bring my car around. Another 45 minutes wait. The car hadn't even been turned in yet by the prior renter. Then they get around to running it thru the car wash and someone brings it out front. An atrocious system. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS AT ALL. DO NOT USE THEM. Thanks for letting me vent, TripAdvisor!!! Aloha!

We stayed here in April 2018. From check in to check out, everyone was helpful. Check in and out were quick, We had a suite in Lahaina towers and it was perfect for us and teenager girls. Parking was super easy and convenient. We went to the Safeway for some breakfast food and snacks. They offered a lot of activities but we only did the lei making. The woman in the activity center was so nice and gave us a lot of info about Hawaii as she was from there. I wish I could remember her name bc she was excellent. I would have given 5 stars but my husband hated the hard sell on the timeshare. Every where you turn they are trying to sell the timeshares. The location was perfect and the girls could walk to whalers village and get ice cream etc. we loved it and we be back.

Started stay in Napili Tower. Moved to Lahania Tower as soon as possible. Pool right below room, to noisy. Front desk does not have access to resorts T-shirts or hats. Guest services would not sell me a hat, however if I listened to their 90-min. sales pitch they offered to give me one for free. I'm 77 yrs. old with 2 weeks, I am not looking to buy, just enjoy. I should not be l should not be penalized for being an older owner.

We usually stay in Oahu at the Disney Aulani and the Marriott Ko’Olina resorts but this year, we decided to change it up and visit Maui. We stayed at the MOC Lanai Tower in a 1 bedroom 2 bath suite. It was recently renovated and had nice furnishings. Beds were memory foam, even the pull-out which made our stay very comfortable. We had a corner unit, so we had a wrap around balcony, which was really nice. The only thing we didn’t like during our stay was that they didn’t have a cooktop in the suite that we stayed in, however, there is a communal kitchen if you really needed to cook. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. We especially enjoyed the activities they offered like Bingo Night, Lei Making, Ceramic Painting, Aqua Aerobics, etc. There was even poker and cocktail making for the adults. Most of the activities were free, some had a very nominal fee. Overall, it was en enjoyable stay and we would definitely come back.

"Great ocean front room"

We returned and once again stayed at this hotel. We were in a one bedroom suite with a great ocean view. We had a very nice king sized bed and separate living room. The kitchenette area had a coffee maker, full sized refrigerator (which came in very handy for leftovers and soda, beer and wine). Also had a microwave. We really enjoyed that it had 2 separate bathrooms which came in very handy as I have a lot of toiletries and it was good for my Hubby to have his own space. We love the location as it right on Kaanapali Beach, and it is within walking distance to shopping and dining at the nearby Whaler’s Village. We did not eat at the on site restaurant, but had a few drinks there at the bar. Housekeeping did a good job while we were there and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
