We have been going to MOC for over 12 years. We really enjoy it for us and the whole family. We took our grand daughter there when she was 6 and she still talks about it. They have a very good set up the pool area. The beach is not really swim friendly. There are rocks only 15 ft out from shore. You have to go down the beach a ways to get to a sandy spot. The rooms are well kept and the help is very accommodating. They have a small food store, sport store, clothing store on site in addition to several restaurant onsite and or a short walk. You can do all types of activities from there as well. It is a very family friendly place. Maloha

We've been back to this wonderful place five times over the years. The staff is always so nice and the rooms are spacious. The original building was the Maui Marriott converted to the Ocean Club. The original tower does not have fully equipped kitchens. There is a newer Lahaina and Napili Tower that does offer fully equipped kitchens. Butwho wants to cook? Maui has the most incredible food.

"January Paradise - Marriott Luxury"

We stayed for almost two weeks in January and had a great time. The original resort is a converted hotel, but is still very nice from mountain view to ocean front. We stayed in three types of units to start with as we added days in late fall to match our supersaver miles flight on United (non stop from ORD, with free upgrade !!). Our friends stayed in Napili Towers, which are newer and purpose built. Both Napili and Ocean Front units have extraordinary views of the ocean and whales in the channel toward Lahaina. The pool complex is large and varied, kids pirate ships to adult soaking tubs to large sunbathing areas on the lawn. The part we liked best was the double wide, ocean front sidewalk all the way to the Sheraton. We got at least a mile walk every day, going to the restaurants and bars at Whalers Village. Tuesday is fish taco happy hour where two are a meal, with live music.

"Incredible holiday at Marriott Kaanapali!!"

We booked a week here through a points on seller (we come from Australia where vacation programs are rare) and weren’t quite sure what to expect. We were more than impressed with Marriott - from the soft plush towels to the huge pools to the incredible service we had an amazing week relaxing in Maui. We had a 2 bed apartment with full kitchen, 2 bathrooms (big spa!) and our partial ocean view was stunning, nothing partial about it! The evening sunsets were spectacular. We had everything we needed - from large quantities of dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent and bathroom supplies, to a blender and huge fridge/freezer. The DVD now service provides free DVD rentals - a much better service than Waikiki hotels charging $20 for a few hours of kids tv programming! The kids loved the 3 pools, there was a lot to keep them interested (2,5,10yrs) and it’s right on the beach so access is v easy. The pools never felt crowded despite them servicing 4 buildings. There is so much to do on Maui we couldn’t do it all with our 3 pool loving children - but we went snorkelling at black rock (walking distance near Sheraton) and saw turtles and a lot of colourful fish, drove to the volcano and iao state park, and went to the pineapple plantation which was gorgeous - the restaurant there was amazing and v.reasonably priced with generous portions. (The tuna ceviche is a must!) Maui is very expensive so make sure you research it before you go - for example car hire will cost almost twice the booked price if you add car seats and insurance with no excess. Supermarket shopping is also expensive but a lot cheaper than eating out. We ate out around 3 nights out of 7, and got takeout one night. If only we could fly direct to Maui we would do this regularly. We plan to come back and stay here again, and visit south Maui beaches and some of the falls on the road to Hana. The only thing I would love to see at Marriott is a clothing rack to dry wet swim costumes and towels - the only place we had was the dryer (not good for swim costumes) or the backs of the wooden dining chairs. Overall this place is amazing, it is expensive in peak season but we loved it and can’t wait to come back again soon.

After more than fifteen weeks at the Maui Ocean club, we brought another group of family (5) with us for the first time. The hotel staff did a great job of listening to us and making my Aunt and Uncle (88 & 87 years young feel the Aloha Spirit. A trip to Pearl Harbor was on their bucket list and we completed our stay on Maui. Thanks for the wonderful week. Mahalo
