    "A Week in Paradise"

We traveled as two adults along with our children ages 14, 9, and 6. We stayed in a recently renovated 2 BR 3 BA Oceanfront in the Molokai Tower. We had never been to Maui or any part of Hawaii previously. And after this week in paradise we are completely spoiled and I don’t know how anything else could live up to this. It was amazing. The rooms were wonderful and the oceanfront balconies were amazing. We spent many hours just sitting on the balconies staring at the beauty of the ocean with both the Lanai and Molokai islands easily visible. The stargazing was truly awesome. Some of the largest and brightest shooting stars we have ever seen. Regarding the renovated Molokai Tower rooms: I don’t know what they looked like before but our rooms were beautiful. We made good use the fridges, microwaves, and dishwasher. Beds were very comfortable. Climate control worked very well. It was wonderful that all 3 bathrooms were full bathrooms with toilets and showers/bathtubs. We had plenty of closet space. Plenty of food storage space. And great lighting. We enjoyed eating on the balconies. Our kids took advantage of many of the kids club activities. They were fun and the activities staff were great. And I would note that on several occasions we were the only ones participating. And they were great. So if your kids might be interested in joining the fun – don’t hesitate. They learned to hula, they made real flower leis, they also made candy leis, they made jewelry, they did a treasure hunt at the pirate ship pool, they had snow cones, among other activities. I cannot say enough good about the pools. When we talk about “three pools” it is important to note that each pool is very large and is divided up into several smaller pools. Our kids love swimming and we spent a lot of time at all the different pools. No matter how crowded the pools were we never had a problem finding a secluded section of pool to call our own, if that was what we wanted. The main slide pool usually had the most people. So we would get our sliding done and then go to one of the other pools to find a secluded spot to swim on our own. Great landscaping at all the pools. Lots of waterfalls. Lots of rockwork and character. The resort is a great location in itself. With incredible resort fun as well as beach activities right out the front door. We are snorkeling fans and we did great snorkeling both at Black Rock but also right out in front of the Marriott. You can choose how much you want to relax and how much adventure you want to find. We left the resort to do other activities such as snorkeling the Molokini Crater, watching sunrise at Haleakala, and hiking to waterfalls on the Road to Hana. But honestly, every time we left the resort we felt some regret and really had to ask ourselves if what we were leaving to do was better than just being at the resort. We cancelled some of our planned activities because we decided it would be better to stay at the resort. I hope to return to the MMOC at some point in the future. And when I do, my primary plan will be to stay at the resort as much as possible. I would not plan any off-site activities. There simply is no need.

We have been owners here for over ten years and come almost every year. We just never get tired of this place! We stayed in the Napili Tower for the first time and really loved this location. We had an ocean front one bedroom villa on the seventh floor and needless to say, the view was spectacular. Nothing like sitting on your balcony in the morning, drinking coffee and looking at the ocean. We also like the pool in front of the Napili tower. It is small, but not too small. Quiet, a huge lawn area to sit and look at the ocean with plenty of chairs. Not too many "chair hogs" over there! Also, a smaller pool bar that is nice to sit at. We went November 11 - 20 and like this time very much. Not too crowded. The crowds starting coming in Friday and we left Sunday. It is always nice to come back here and see so many employees that we see year after year. Like coming home! Can't wait for our next visit!

we had a great experience from check-in to check -out, we had a lock-off studio and the room was very comfortable, large, excellent view, comfortable bed etc. Marriott people are very good, friendly and we had a very perfect vacation! We would highly recommend staying here. We had an ocean view room which was very appreciated. Great to sit on the large patio and enjoy the view. Parking was also handy, as well as Starbuck's, and the Beach walkway.

There isn't a TripAdvisor option for the Molokai, Maui, Lanai towers so I will review it here even though I know it isn't part of the Lahaina/Napili Towers. We stayed in the Molokai Tower in the hotel conversion part of the resort. These rooms are not new construction villas but converted hotel rooms into villas. What we like about these towers is you get an extra bathroom. We were on the 7th floor with a view of the island of Molokai. This view was spectacular. We could see both the ocean and the mountain. The only complaint for us is the beds are too hard. We called housekeeping and they delivered egg crate mattresses which helped. Our room had been newly re-decorated (see photos). We were here in January 2016 and on this visit in November the resort grounds had had a new face lift as well. The pool was completely re-done. The pool bottom seems to be a little darker blue and the lava was also painted black. They look great. We noticed a few more tables with umbrellas around the BBQ's. Loved the second row of umbrellas by the pool. The grounds are always nice here but were really beautiful on this visit. There is now a giant checkers set by the chess set, also a pool and ping pong table located by the gym. Most of the construction is complete. The room next door to us was getting the new larger fridge and cabinet installed. It was only noisy for about an hour. You are now given a card when you register for free DVD's located in the lobby. The new 50' TV are great. We loved this time of year. The resort almost felt empty. No one was staking out lounge chair territory at 6am. There were always chairs available next to the pool. Also restaurants didn't seem as crowded. The food at the Beach Walk Kau Kau was really good. We had breakfast and lunch one day and were really impressed with the food. The on-site restaurant is not affiliated with Marriott so you can't charge to your room. It has a sports bar atmosphere(we were there during the World Series and the place was packed). There is a new large cabana on the grassy area near the beach. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had an awesome view from our lanai. Just a wonderful week in paradise.
