"Fantastic location with ocean views (if you pay a premium & specify ocean view room)"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Fantastic location at the northern end of Waikiki Beach directly opposite famous Duke Statue. The hotel has everything almost everything within the resort you would need for your holiday. It was worth paying the extremely expensive extra price for an ocean view & club access for breakfast & evening canopes overlooking the beach. All the staff were friendly & helpful but always busy & sometimes a little hard to get hold of - but only because they were working so hard (perhaps understaffed by management). You can walk everywhere in Waikiki from here or catch a bus if you are a bit lazy. Short walk to shops & famous Cheesecake & Duke's restaurants (both of which were also great). We even walked to the top of Diamond Head from the hotel & back before breakfast (about 1 hr30min each way). Would definitely recommend & stay again.

"Perfect Birthday and Christmas Surprise"

-What a wonderful Birthday and Christmas Surprise! So nice to be treated so friendly starting at check in where I received my first birthday surprise....A Hawaiian Lei. My room was very warmly decorated with beautiful flowers and yummy chocolates. One of the great treats on my trip was "the cabana" every day but one , to come and go as I please..The staff at the pool were great, Robert, was exceptional in looking after us,genuinely kind, and such a nice young man to everyone. I ll be back for my 80th :) and I promise "I ll surf this time, Robert". The "Aloha Spirit was definitely a plus, mahalo". I particuarly enjoyed the parrots in the lobby, I visited them every day and after the first few days believed, and would like to think, they recognized me. :) Thank you to my daughter and son-in-law for choosing Hyatt for my celebration. Thank you Hyatt for a very nice holiday... we will be back!

"Never again will I stay at the Waikiki Hyatt"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5

Perhaps it was bad timing on my part, but to many things went wrong for me to give a good review. Everything from clogged shower and toilet to excessive noise from the street below. I have visited Hyatts all over to include Europe, this Waikiki was the worse I have stayed in.

"Fantastic Surprise Birthday"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed January 15, 2019 NEW
We traveled to the Hyatt over the Christmas holiday. This was a surprise birthday celebration for my mother. The check in process went smooth and the gentleman (sorry forget his name) that helped us was very friendly! The Hyatt had my mom's room decorated with flowers, swan shape towels, and a box of chocolates...a nice touch! The highlight of our vacation was meeting Robert at the pool. He goes above and beyond and definitely has the Aloha spirit. We spent all but one day in a poolside cabana and he took great care of us even bringing us binoculars one day to watch our friend surf. My mom is already talking about celebrating her 80th in a couple of years. Great hospitality!
