Welcome to Kaha Lani Resort, featuring oceanfront Kauai condo rentals nestled in a lush tropical rainforest. This island hideaway has miles of white sand and turquoise ocean on one side, green fairways on the other, and pure tranquility throughout.

Large one and two bedroom Kauai condo rentals either front the ocean or have a view of it. Ocean-view suites are mere yards from the water and overlook the pool and manicured lawns, while oceanfront suites provide a panoramic vista of Wailua Bay and the Pacific. Each of these Kauai condo rentals is furnished with a unique flair and features a full kitchen, cable TV, your own private lanai, and plenty of extras.

But Kaha Lani Resort's luxuries go beyond just the condos themselves. Take a dip in the pool, lay out on the sun deck, walk to the historic preserve, run around with the kids at the Lydgate Park playground, or challenge a friend on the tennis court, putting green, or Wailua Municipal Golf Course. With these Kauai condo rentals, you get all the benefits of resort-style Kauai accommodations in a place as comfortable as home. As the sunlight dims, the barbeques light up. Enjoy your own outdoor island luau. Or, if your prefer to eat out, there are plenty of restaurants right in Lihue and Kapaa.

Tour the Grove Farm Homestead Museum in Lihue for a true depiction of what life was like on a sugar plantation. The Kauai Museum is also a great place to get a taste of that era, along with the island’s art, history, geology, flora, and fauna. When your brain is full, relax on the white sands of gorgeous Kalapaki Beach. The water here is calm, so it’s ideal for swimming. Golfers, take note of the Kauai Lagoon Golf Club also nearby, home to two Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole golf courses and 40 acres of freshwater lagoons. There’s also a wildlife sanctuary there. Kauai Lagoons is just one of 10 courses in the area, so be sure to bring your clubs.

Remember the film “Raiders of the Lost Ark?” The jungle where Indiana Jones made his escape is part of the Huleia National Wildlife Refuge, which is also a great place to stop and see some of Kauai’s natural beauty. Those are just a few highlights in the area. Keep going and you’ll find even more in Wailua and beyond. As you consider Kauai condo rentals, you’ll want to ensure easy access to the island’s best sights and outdoor adventures, and some off the beaten track.

"Good accommodation. Great location."

Our family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom condo 108. It directly faces the swimming pool (20 steps away) and has full ocean view. You can hear the ocean falling asleep. The furnishing are dated and could use updating but everything is fine and functional. The grounds are well kept and groomed. The location is convenient to get around the island. Lydgate beach park is no more than a 5 minute stroll on the boardwalk. Watch out for rip tides but the beach has a protect area that is great for little kids. Staff is nice and welcoming. For groceries we went to Foodland (they have at least 6 different kinds of poke there!) and our fav local eatery is Chicken in Barrel in Kapaa (15 min drive). Some of our favourite beaches were Poipu Beach (it has a protected cove for little kids) and Shipwreck Beach (white sand and aqua water). We did go to Hanalei Bay (an hour drive) but it was rainy so couldn't fully enjoy the beautiful scenery. And be prepared to see chickens. Can't miss them. They're everywhere. Good stay overall.

The beach that was in front of the condo was NOT kid friendly we even found a condom on our walk to the “playground” Gross! If your a a couple wanting a mediocre cheap room than this is the place for you! Thought we could use the pool instead of the beach but it was a little cold for my taste.... the staff wasn’t as friendly as I expected and you had to pay extra after the resort fee for extra towels..... honestly I would stay at Kauai shores down the road it has a awesome pool and chairs to lay on at the Beach for you and a great happy hour and corn hole with comfy chairs and you can bring kids......

"Functional beachfront condos. Need car."

Located a short 10 minute drive (5 miles) north of Lihue Airport, this condo resort is in an isolated beachfront area. The Lydgate Beach Park is adjacent to the resort, with a white sand beach, plentiful picnic tables, open green space, and a scenic 1km jogging/biking path. There are no restaurants or shops in walking distance, thus having a car is a necessity. The Smith's Fern Grotto is a short 3 minute drive north, small town of Wailua 5 minutes north, and mid sized town (largest on Kauai) of Lihue 10 minutes south. Our group occupied 3 separate condo units, each uniquely decorated and in differing stages of renovation, but with similar amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen (stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, pots/pans/plates/bowls/utensils/...), living room, patio, and complementary wifi. 2 of our 3 units had large flatscreen TVs. It appears each unit was individually owned and commonly managed by Castle Resorts. All units face the ocean, with higher units having better views of the ocean. There is a decently sized pool in the center of the resort. The front desk of one person was friendly and helpful, but could be a bottleneck if more than one party check in/out at the same time. Overall, a good value and ideal base for exploring the island, but does require a car due to its isolated location. The full kitchen allows for staying in a few nights to enjoy peaceful beachfront life, in which case a trip to a supermarket in Lihue or Wailua is required (note: there is a Costco in Lihue) ... but there are so many great unique restaurants throughout the island, much better than munching on common Costco grub.

"Perfect for us"

We just stayed 10 nights in unit 324 - 2 couples in our 60's. A few minor glitches (vacation doesn't mean you get to escape the realities of everyday life) were handled very quickly by office and housekeeping. As indicated everywhere in their advertising, there is no air conditioning, but the ceiling fans and louvered windows were more than sufficient to keep the place comfortable. The upper floors do get the better breezes. We liked that we were away from the pool and the inconsiderate family from Cleveland (yikes - loud music, beer bottles, putting the furniture in the pool!!), but managed to learn when they wouldn't be there. So the pool was very enjoyable other than this one group. You can exchange your beach towels once a day in the office. Lydgate Park is really only a 5 minute walk down the path. It was just the place for easy snorkeling and bobbing about in the water. One of the reasons we chose a condo was so we didn't have to deal with having housekeeping coming in every day. Here, they exchanged bath and kitchen towels every third day, replenished shampoo, etc - just right for us. The kitchen was well stocked. I have no problem paying a one-time cleaning fee. Again, if you read Kaha Lani's website, this is clearly explained. I don't understand folks who complain about things that should have been included in their homework. If you want to be in the middle of resort-central with hundreds of tourists around you at all times, Kaha Lani is not for you. We will definitely return...

"Perfect location and well equipped unit"

For our first visit on Kauai, we decided to stay on the eastern shore. Condo in Kaha Lani turned out to be an excellent choice. Accommodation was conveniently situated within close distance of Lihue airport, great hiking, shopping and eating places in Wailua, Kapaa and Lihue. But the best part –was the walking and biking trail running just by the resort. For the people loving Hawaii but scared of the ocean, there was Lydgate beach completely protected by stone barrier (a five-minute walk from the resort) - ideal for a morning swim (or snorkel) and watching sunrise while having the beach almost for yourself. Kaha Lani is an older resort but is meticulously maintained, quiet (all you hear is the ocean and birds) and clean. It had more homey feeling than being touristy. There is plenty of parking. Lush and well kept landscaping offers good privacy for the lodging. Our unit 216 was on the second floor. It had two cozy bedrooms (each with bathrooms), spacious living room with dining area and a good size, well equipped kitchen. Everything was clean, well organized and tastefully decorated. We had use of the beach stuff (located in the storage on the balcony) and beach towels. In the hall, there was a small selection of the books and board games. Another source of entertainment was the TV unit (with some CDs and DVDs) in the living room (but with so many things to do in Kauai, we didn’t have time to use it). From the balcony, there was a partial view of the ocean, and nice view of the mountains from the kitchen window and the sitting area by the entrance. There was no AC in the condo, but the ceiling fans and portable fans created enough breezes for pleasant indoor stay. The communication with Kauai Vacation Rentals was excellent and we got very detailed information about our stay. Even though we spend most of our vacation outdoors exploring this beautiful island, we enjoyed having this unit for our week home base. We definitely recommend renting Kaha Lani unit 216.
