"Somewhat disappointed"

The hotel has a great pool with slides. It is located on a nice mild beach on the Sunny side of the Island. It reminded me of a replica of the Bay Lake Towers in Orlando as far as the Villas go. Be careful about expecting a wow ocean view. I did have an ocean view once you looked pat the parking garage and tennis courts of the four seasons(which were very bright at night). Request an interior hotel/ocean view. For over 1000 dollars a night, I expected more. And not very much disney in this hotel except for the character dining and the occasional pool party. I think the Polynesian resort does a better job in Orlando. I also think they need a Tiki room or a Moana ride. It was just missing something.

This a beautiful place to vacation! The beach & pool area are really nice! The views of the ocean are great ! Beautiful sunset with the Palm tress great for photos! The shipping area is really short walk. The only thing a thought there would be more activities. It is a little quiet at night. The character breakfast and dinner are most do Amazing food. We also purchased the cup that you can refill. Which is great idea! Very Beautiful place!!!

"A great hotel with Disney magic!"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

We stayed in a two bedroom villa. We loved the ocean view and all the amenities of the resort. We got to see Disney characters "on vacation." There are several Disney surprises such as hidden Mickeys in the room and many Disney touches around the resort. We never ate at any restaurants because the prices were much higher than even Disneyland! It was $20 for one cheese burger!! We bought food at the very expensive ABC market across the street and we brought many food items with us. We ate dinner at "Just Tacos" across the street. That place was sensational! We loved hearing famous Disney songs being sung in Hawaiian around the resort and in the elevators. It is a wonderful place for children. There is so much to do that you don't need to have a car. Just enjoy the resort!

When I came here 6 years ago, I thought it was the nicest resort I have ever been to. This time, it's not so shiny new and just seemed to have lost some magic. We could not get a King Room, well unless we actually downgraded but with no difference in price to the room we reserved. No sorry, nothing, just that room you reserved, is not available. Carpet is shabby and needs to be replaced. We are lucky enough to travel with our 21 yo daughter but at Aulani, you pay $100.00 extra for a 3rd adult. I asked even if it's your adult daughter? Yes. Makes the minimum room price about $450.00 for our small family. If you are traveling with 2 adults and 3 children, you don't have to pay that extra $100.00, but once they hit 18, somehow it is oh so much more expensive than 3 under 18? Don't get it. To make it even more silly, all the adult pool/hot pool close really early. You can't hot tub after dinner, so really don't get what you're paying for. All the food is similar to what you would get at a disney park, even if it is the expensive beachfront restaurant. $21.00 for a fish sandwich poolside. Go off property for food. Monkeypod or Roy's is a much better dinner than you will get anywhere on property. Don't really think I will spend the money to come back.
