We booked the resort with Costco and overall trip saved us about 1500 from when I was looking on my own. The resort was super nice, all open. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful from greeting to goodbye. Room service was excellent. 2 pools, both were super nice and clean. Hot tub was working, outdoor showers and super nice short walkway to the beach. They even let us prorate the last day since we were not leaving until 930pm and check out was at 11am. That was super nice. The only negative is that every morning around 515am the delivery truck backup horns could be heard until about 730 things were a bit noisy and the mattresses on both the pull out and queen were not very comfortable, but otherwise great stay.

We stayed for 5 days in this hotel. The room was pretty nice lay out with kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms but they were not cleaned regularly. Toiletries like shampoo/conditioner,soaps, lotion were not replenished daily.Maintainance guy just barged into our room without permission and without any job order request from us. Dirty rag was left on the bedside table by the housekeeper once or twice. Beds were not made. We had to put a note to housekeeper to change our bed linens and make our beds.☹😢

"Excellent location and amenities/ perfect for families "

This was our first trip to Maui (and any of the islands) so we didn’t know what to expect. We had read many reviews - some positive and some not so positive so knew it could go either way. Here’s my honest review. 1. There’s nothing to complain about. Any negative reviews are probably people who typically complain and should have been willing to spend more money if they wanted something “higher end”. The price we paid was reasonable for the condo and amenities. 2. The condo had everything we needed to stay for a week. The full kitchen, balcony and two bathrooms were the best features. The condo was slightly outdated but, again, reasonable for the price. The only bummer was that there was no dresser in the master BUT there were two large closets with plenty of hangers. 3. The location is what will bring me back. The ocean is just steps away for a beautiful morning walk or an evening sunset stroll. The tide was a bit too high for swimming but many swimable beaches are just a short drive away. We loved the pool - it stayed open late for the kids and was very pleasant during the day. The lawn games were a great addition to the pool area. We enjoyed the onsite restaurant for lunch one day. The resort is about a 10 minute drive from Front Street, which we fell in love with and went to several times. There is an awesome coffee shop (Java Jazz) across the street that we walked to daily as well as a grocery store so it was convenient to get groceries. There is also a food truck lot right next door that we enjoyed for dinner one night. 4. The staff were amazing. The front desk people were always beyond friendly to us and the cleaning staff were so so nice and always asked if we would be needing anything if we got a later start to the day. 5. The gym on site is the only thing that could have been better. I wake up early and would have liked to have access to it before 7:00am when it opened. The $5 fee isn’t bad but it’s a pretty small/rough gym to be charging. I did appreciate having access to one though. Our booking was AEI Kaanapali Shores. I still don’t know what the difference is but it was at Aston Kaanapali and I would recommend the resort to families looking for a convenient condo with a full kitchen. We will definitely be back!

"Honeymoon Trip"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

My husband and I stayed at Aston Kaanapali Shores for 7 nights in October 2018 for our Honeymoon and had the best time! Our room was spacious, clean and we loved having a kitchen so we could buy breakfast food and snacks. The room was a little dated and the bed could have been more comfortable but in our opinion it wasn't that big of a deal! We loved the size of the resort because they had all of the amenities you need but small enough that you can get around quickly (we stayed a very large resort on Oahu and hated how long it took to get everywhere, so this was more our style). We enjoyed hanging out by the ocean side pool and ordering drinks from the bar, it was very laid back! The beach area is small, but well kept and nice to have easy access too. The staff we encountered was always friendly and helpful and we were happy with the quick check in and out.

"Very nice"

This was our first stop on our three island Christmas and New Year vacation. Check in was simple. We had a two bedroom unit and it was nicely appointed and had a wonderful welcome bag, with coffee, wine and a beer! The place was clean though we did kill a little roach that we thing came up the one of the tub drains. Certainly no infestation but it was a roach! The ac was set to not go below 72 which annoyed us and the room was a bit warm sometimes but not hot. Just not as cool as we like. Overall, the place was very nice. We were quite comfortable and the view of Molokai was amazing from our balcony. The pools and restaurant were great and the amenities were good. I’d recommend this place to anyone heading to Maui.
