What a great trip! Smaller group! Glenn, our tour guide, was amazing! Very knowledgeable about volcanoes and the islands history! Super friendly! Visited the Lava Tree Park, Kaimu Black Sand Beach, Star of the Sea Painted Church (where the tour guides BBQ'd and amazing lunch for us) and several other places where the views were beyond amazing!

KapohoKine Adventures made our two hour drive to Hilo worth it! We were greeted with friendly staff at check in who helped us along with paperwork and the weighing process- the staff was so efficient that our entire tour group of 11 was checked in early. Our driver Emily escorted us to our very spacious and clean shuttle van to take us to the Ziplining location and shared some cool facts during the drive. Emily seemed to know every answer to every question the group asked, and also suggested some other cool spots to visit on our Hilo trip. Once at location, we were greeted by three Zipline instructors- Dishman, Shelly, and Kalua who were all very friendly and reassuring. They made it a point during our safety briefing to share about their top of the line equipment and their number one priority of safety. Our guides took us through ziplines, over waterfalls ontop of suspension bridges, and finally to our half way "clubhouse". There was an amazing view of a waterfall as we snacked on some local fruit and drank some refreshing water (there is also another bathroom at this point). On the last half of our tour, the ziplines got longer and higher- the last being about a minute long! The zipline with KapohoKine is definitely worth all the hype! Amazing and fun for all ages!

"Great Time Ziplining with professional guides"

Our zip lining crew was great! Ashley, Nicole and Shelby were first-class guides. There wasn't a time I didn't feel safe. The dynamic of the group was fantastic and it made the trip that much more enjoyable. The guides were very knowledgeable with the surrounding area and you could tell they loved what they did. The intermission break with some of the local fruit and nuts was a nice break, while enjoying a great waterfall scene. Our Driver, Dishman, was awesome as well. He had some really good advice for the local eatery's. I don't think there was another crew like theirs who could've made the experience as enjoyable! Much love! - Norbert Trejo (Austin, TX)

I opted for the heli-zippin-volcano experience and it turned out to be an exceptional way of discovering the Big Island in a day. Marcus (our guide) was extremely knowledgeable and kept the day interesting. I would recommend that people do the tour at the beginning of their stay.
