I really enjoyed this tour because of our guide. Since I’m an inexperienced hiker and kayaker , I felt his guidance and patience with me was very much appreciated.

We had a great day on the water with Nathan our guide. The group was small (12 total) and the boats were open water kayaks. The river is calm, and there were lots of other groups on the water. It took about 1 hour to paddle in, then 2 hours hiking and another 1.5 to paddle out. Nathan was great at explaining the botany and history of the trail and island. If you like learning something about the place you’re visiting, this is a good choice. It was very relaxed and well organized.

Nathan was a great guide. We had fun on the river and he did a fantastic job teaching us about the local plant life and how the first Hawaiian inhabitants lived. Highly recommended!

Family of 8. Two kids, 9 and 7. Adults, 34-67 in ages. We only did the kayak portion since the hiking trail was closed due to storms. Neverless, we had a great time. The guide, Matt, went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time in the Hawaiian village. Highly recommend. If windy, you are going to do some work kayaking, but it isn't too bad. Just pace yourself.
