Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company. I booked two tours a month in advance -- the Big Island circle tour + airfare and the Pearl Harbor tour. When I called a day before the first tour to confirm, they couldn't find my booking, even though I had printed vouchers. I spoke to 3 or 4 people on the day, who told me to call back the next day (after my first tour was supposed to be happening). I called back the next day, and they still insisted that I didn't have a booking. I had to speak to another 4 people before I found someone who finally asked me to email the pdfs of my vouchers, and then suddenly they magically had my booking. But, it was too late and they couldn't give me either tour. So, they requested that I get a refund from Greyline, and they offered the chance to rebook the Pearl Harbor tour. They gave me a 25% discount on this rebooking, but only after I asked for it due to all the inconvenience I had incurred. Then, the day before the rebooked tour, they had the gall to call me on my cell phone, while I was on a tour with another company, to say that I hadn't paid for the rebooked tour! I had done, and I have the credit card statement to prove it. They did let me go on the rebooked tour, but they put a note in my file for the manager to call me the following week to resolve the payment dispute! I don't understand how this company stays in business. The tour itself was ok, but it was kind of a cattle drive, and the driver wasted a lot of time repeating instructions, making us stand in a group and wait, etc. I have been a Grey Line customer for 10-15 years, but I am no longer. I am probably going to be writing a long letter both to the local office and to the corporate headquarters about my negative experiences. The tour we were unable to rebook was the thing my husband most wanted to do in Hawaii, so I am naturally very disappointed.

We wanted to include Pearl Harbor in our recent trip to Hawaii. We joined Polynesian Adventure tours and were assigned Kaleo for a guide. He is a gifted tour guide, making all our stops either respectful, instructional and/or fun depending on the solemnity of the stop. It’s too easy to minimize the horror of the attack on Pearl Harbor when it was so far away and long ago. Despite his young age, Kaleo impressed the acts of courage, heroism of all the people of many cultures caught up in the fateful day. Finding all these places on our own would have taken twice as long. After touring the military base, we spent some time enjoying familiar landmarks especially if you are a Hawaii 5-0 fan!! And saw the lovely Waikiki area. I learned so much about Hawaiian history, American history and became so much more appreciative of the beauty and culture of Hawaii.

We cannot overstate our satisfaction with Polynesian Adventures! Our driver/guide's name was Keau. He is a native Hawaiian and if there is anyone on the island who knows more of the history, geography or culture, I'd like to meet him/her. Keau took us to a few places off the beaten path as well as all of the places that were advertised as part of the tour(s). We took the NCL cruise around the islands and this was the pre-cruise package tour. More than once, Keau directed us against the grain of the other tour companies so we avoided longer lines or crowds and even got us to Pearl Harbor early enough so we witnessed the playing of the Star Spangled Banner. Nobody sitting for the Nation Anthem there!!! My wife had a similar package a couple years ago but with another tour company and she says there was no comparison. We would highly recommend Polynesian Adventures and are guessing any of their Oahu tours would be excellent.

This is a great tour to see all the highlights of Honolulu in one full day. Our driver, Ernel was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his native Hawaii and every stop proved interesting without any hard selling which can be associated with full day tours.

"Oahu from Maui all day trip"

This was a full day excursion. We flew from Maui to Oahu. Every piece of this trip was well planned and delivered. From the flight out of Maui to the bus drive around Honolulu to the USS Arizona memorial, Everything was excellent. We especially liked our driver and tour guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the history of not only things on the tour, but Hawaaii in general. Comfortable bus ride with lots of photo ops and stops along the way. Was a very tiring and long day, but it is the only way to experience all that this tour offers in such a short amount of time. Could not recommend higher !!
