"I had a great time with friends and co-workers"

We were a party of 12 people and the service was impeccable. Great entertainment with live jazz music. We took a photo with the captain. From boarding to disembarking the staff made us feel special. Definitely a "Must do" when in Honolulu.

"A Dinner Cruise in the Honolulu Harbour area"
March, 2015
My wife and I went out on a dinner cruise aboard the Star of Honolulu on February 27, 2015. The experience was just great. We booked the five star dinner cruise in order to have top of the line service and food and we were not disappointed.

From the time we boarded we were treated like VIP's and the young man who was to serve us throughout the evening greeted us by name as we had canapés and a drink on the back deck. He showed us to our table and was attentive at the end of the night as he was at the beginning.

Each meal course was served at exactly the right time and presentation was excellent. The food was delicious as were the drinks.

We were entertained throughout the evening by a wonderful piano musician who later joined by a saxophonist, then a singer. During the mid point of our meal we had traditional hula dancers providing an excellent show.

Overall the evening was great success in all areas. My wife and I loved it and would not fail to recommend this to anyone who should be visiting Honolulu as a "must attend event".
Tip: The lower decks seem to have a livlier brand of music with more of a party atmosphere. As we went out on the open deck we could hear their music and wondered what it would be like there. Next time we'll try that..

This is the second time we have taken this cruise. We also took it in 2016. The dinner was wonderful, streak and then all the crab you can eat!! The service was really great for all these people that are aboard and the entertainment was wonderful. We would do it again next time we are in Hawaii.

What a great experience. Fantastic food, wonderful staff and a nice show in addition to a beautiful sunset. The 2 hours are the perfect length. Despite the fact that the boat is holding 1500 passenger it does not feel that well. The busses are super organized and it only took 30 minutes to get off the boat, on the bus and back to the hotel. Very impressive

The dinner and cruise were very good, the crab legs were great and all you can eat (and I did) the waiter commented are you building Diamond head. After the cruise a relative at home stated there was a shortage of crab legs.

People complain the meal, even the upscale offerings aren't four star gourmet. Gimme a break. The food, even on the low end dinner package is quite nice and the entertainment is fun. The real offering is an evening out on the water seeing whales, as we did today, and seeing Waikiki and Diamond Head as the sun sets. What you have to do is understand you're paying $5 for dinner --- it's a deal then --- and the other $100, or whatever your cost level might be, for a two hour spectacular trip out on the Pacific Ocean --- and that's a deal too. The only not deal is the $27 they charge for the photo. $15 would be outrageous for a twenty cent paper and ink print, and $1.50 (in bulk) for the fancy folder it's in. $27 is a rip-off of gargantuan proportions and if the owners had heard the comments on the outside deck where we were after dinner, they'd cringe. People who bought, felt ripped-off, those who didn't buy felt ripped off. All agreed $15 would be huge, but acceptable. It boggles my mind that for such a seemingly small thing the owners of this ship send all these people away thinking rip-off over a photo!

My wife and I went on the Friday night dinner cruise which includes the fireworks show over the bay. While the food and service were good, it felt a bit like a herd of cattle out for a meal at sea. The views and sunset were the best part.
