Description

from Stars & Stripes
This tour is moving in more ways than one. Explore and honor three historic sites that shaped the outcome of World War II in this, our Stars & Stripes tour. From the moment you board the tour bus, you’ll hear interesting facts about WWII and its devastating effects.

You’ll visit the USS Arizona Memorial where the United States was catapulted into WWII and its fight in the Pacific began. Also, explore the shoreline exhibits at the Visitor Center.

Please note, the USS Arizona Memorial is closed indefinitely due to structural damage.

Next, enjoy a tour of the Battleship Missouri. Knowledgeable guides provide colorful stories about the ship’s history and life at sea during a 35-minute guided tour. Stand where General Douglas MacArthur stood when he accepted the Instrument of Surrender that would end WWII; discover the thrilling details of the kamikaze attack on the Battleship Missouri; stand in the shadows of the 16-inch guns that pummeled Inchon, Korea; and see where 28 Tomahawk missiles were launched during the Gulf War.

Later, honor the freedoms bestowed upon us by all those who bravely served our country since WWI at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. You’ll be moved not only by the sweeping views of downtown Honolulu but also by the narrated drive through the National Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. Before heading back into Waikiki, you’ll drive through historic Honolulu to see Hawaii State Capitol and Honolulu City Hall, Iolani Palace and King Kamehameha Statue, and Kawaiahao Church.

"Wheelchair issues, but overall, on time, pleasant & efficient."

We travel with a wheelchair, so our experiences are not the norm. The Accessible Buses they supplied for us seemed brand new, which may explain part of the issues we had with them, in that the drivers did not really know how to operate the lifts. We used Roberts to go from the airport to the hotel. We were met by friendly & very helpful personal, but driver had issues with the platform lift, which I ended up showing him how to use it manually (I just read the instructions on it after it stopped working). Exiting at the hotel was fine, The next trip to the Cruise Ship was even more exciting. They sent a FULL sized brand new bus to pick us up, which had a lift near the back. The driver used a screw driver to open the wheelchair door, but he managed to do it (a sign of things to come). Arrival at the Cruise terminal was fast & efficient, but, you guessed it, he couldn't open the wheelchair exit door. An hour later, after many attempts to open it with the same screwdriver, another bus arrived & it's driver came over, reached under the hood (so-to-speak) & had it open. Now, as I have said, wheelchair users are not the norm, and apart from out specific issues, I'm sure Roberts Supplies 99% of its' customers with excellent service.

"ONE DAY TOUR: Heavenly Hana Tour Maui - Island Hopping from Oahu"

This was an amazing trip! Arriving at Maui ( from Oahu) we were picked up at the airport by Björn From Robert's Hawaii, our driver and tour guide. Björn has a great knowledge about the Island and he is an excellent driver and he will tell you all the stories!! :) The nature and the surroundings were breathtaking. The lunch break by the black beach was magical. At one stop I bought a banana bread that was home made and just made....OMG I could go back just for that :) There is one thing about this trip that can be improved.... the person(s) that gives you the boardingcards and meets you at the airports, they treat you as you never have travelled before! But except for them.... this is a tour that you have to take!!!

We arranged this excursion through our hotel (ala Moana). They picked us up from port (we did the NCL cruise) on or arrival back to Honolulu. Provided very educational tour of city and also of Pearl Harbor. It can be quite difficult to get tickets to Pearl Harbor but this group has them in advance. Perfect ending to our trip. They even store your luggage during the tour and drop you off at the airport. Would definitely recommend !

We used this company as transport from the airport to our hotel, Pearl Harbor tour, and transport back to airport. Being a first time flyer and trip planner (this big of a trip) I was so pleased how easy pickup was and how special the lei greeting was! The Pearl Harbor trip and Honolulu City tour was amazing! John was so funny, entertaining, and did a better than fantastic job! The next day we saw him at a ranch and he remembered us and spoke to us!
