We recently enjoyed another visit to the Star. The all-you-can crab dinner cruise was recommended by our friends. We were greeted with much aloha as we boarded the ship and were seated. Rose, our server, promptly took our drink order. The meal was great. The manager John stopped by our table and introduced himself. We felt so special. Another awesome evening with the SOH crew. We will definitely return!

We did both the dinner and whale watching cruises. The staff is great and very friendly. Alexander was our waiter for the dinner cruise and he was so helpful and attentive. On the whale watching cruise, Joel and Kara were so friendly. The cruise was awesome. Not only did we see some whale breaches but we met some great staff. I will definitely be returning.

We recently enjoyed the all you can eat crab dinner on the star of honolulu. Our most recent visit was even greater than our previous three trips. Our server, Rose, was very attentive. Rose's boss, the Manager John came by to introduce himself and see that everything was ok. We told him we could not be happier and we will return.

Star of Honolulu was highly recommend to us by several tour boat companies in Honolulu as a great fit for our group, 6 children under 12 and 6 adults. From reservations to the tour itself we were treated to a bounty of great staff and loads of thrills. Kara Rockstad, the Naturist on board was informative, entertaining and engaging. We all had a wonderful time and will return and highly recommend to all.

This dinner cruise was suggested to me by the concierge at the Ala Moana Hotel. I’m glad I took her up in the suggestion. The transportation included in the star package picked me up right next to the hotel. I was dropped off right near the ship. The driver was super nice. We were greeted by a brief performance and were able to board. The tables were already set with salad, taro rolls and drinks. As a first time solo traveler, I was a bit nervous, but everyone on the ship was so nice. The Mai Tais were strong and delicious. The crab legs and beef tenderloin were out of sight. My server, Simon was amazing!! He made sure we all had enough of crabs legs, coffee, pop, water, etc. Before we could even raise our hands to ask for another anything, he was headed our way with it. The food is so fresh and really good. Look at the pics I included in the review. The crab legs are all you can eat. Once you finish the ones in your plate, your server will come with a basket of freshly cooked crab legs and convince you to eat more. If you have trouble cracking them, no worries. A waiter with gloves will come and crack them for you or teach you a really efficient way to do it yourself. The views are gorgeous. There is a great band that serenades you the entire evening. Once the dinner course is done, crab legs will still be served. A show will start. The show is really cool. The dancers are really energetic and the lighting is cool. You can still move about the ship while the show is happening, but you won’t want to miss it. After the show, the band plays hits and gets all those still in their seats to get up and dance. If dancing isn’t your thing, don’t worry just sit and watch others. I also just want to note, the band plays an awesome acoustic version of Purple Rain. I can honestly say out of all the tours and cruises I went on while I stayed in Hawaii, this dinner cruise is the best. The goal of all the staff on the ship is to make sure you have a good time, and you do. The manager, John, even introduced himself to everyone on the ship. I thought that was really nice.
