We did the roast beef dinner on Friday night for the fireworks show and the whole experience was absolutely terrible. We were picked up from our location roughly on time but arrived at the ship around 20 mins late, didn't get to see any of the pre boarding entertainment as we were herded on board straight away. We were taken to a "lounge" at the rent of the ship which was very old & tired looking at best. The entertainment in the lounge was mediocre at best, one man with his guitar, one of the ladies and the server did a dance. Food from the buffet was done by going up table by table, by the time it was our turn the food was cold and when we came to eat it it was shocking, rice over cooked, vegetables under cooked, chicken - well I have never had such revolting chicken ever, and as I say all was cold. Those eating first may have had time to go back to the buffet if they desired, when we sat down there was an announcement that the buffet was closing in 10 mins - for which I am greatful. Best part of the food was the taro roll, and I don't like them but needed to eat something. Drinks at $10 each I consider expensive (cheaper at most bars in Waikiki. We were so disappointed that we didn't bother to go inside for the 7.10 show. The photograph they took of us was a really good one but we didn't purchase it as we didn't want to remember this event. I have shared my experience with the concierge at our hotel in the hope he will guide others to something better.

The Dinner Cruise was a fun time. The cruise itself give a great view from the harbor. From downtown to Diamond Head, some great photo opportunities. The food and the entertainment were excellent. We did the 3 star cruise and were very pleased. The servers and entertainers work very hard to satisfy the customers.

We sailed on the Star of Honolulu for a friday night dinner and fireworks cruise. The meal and entertainment were wonderful unfortunately, the fireworks were canceled due to high inland water's because of a storm out to sea. Still the dinner cruise was spectacular with the coastline of Waikiki as our backdrop and the crew treated us like VIP's. I highly recommend this cruise, even without the fireworks this cruise is well worth it and the cost was very reasonable.
