Description

from Piiholo Ranch Zipline Tours
Our 4-line zipline tour offers almost 2 hours of thrilling fun as you zip over trees, gulches and green ranchland on the slopes of Haleakala. Going 2 at a time, side-by-side on our dual-line course, you'll zip 4 unique lines ranging from 420 feet to over 1,000 feet long, and at heights ranging from 42 feet to almost 200 feet above the ground. Don't forget to take in the beautiful mountain and ocean views!

Our 5-line tour, almost 3 hours long, will leave you smiling for days! While lines 1, 2 and 3 are the same as on the 4-line tour, you’ll head off in a different direction at line 4, zipping down a 1,420-foot line to the base of Piiholo Hill. There a Ranch vehicle is waiting to take you to the top, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of Maui. Your final zip, as you speed down a line more than half a mile long and at times 600 feet high, is a thrilling grand finale to an awesome experience!

After careful searching , our homework led us to Piiholo Ranch Zipline tours. The location is beyond beautiful, words can't describe. The tour guides are what made this experience exceptionally memorable. Nick, Sara, and Skyler are very professional and good at what they do. I had no reservations in trusting them with ny family. With Nicks fun humor, it made everyone laugh and be at ease. All of the guides are extremely gear and safety oriented. As commonly known as a walker lol, the allowed me to be a part of the group by observing from several locations. I highly recommend this company for a very exciting experience.

My wife and I did the 5 zipline tour with Piiholo Ranch Zipline. This was our first zipline experience and picked Piiholo based on a recommendation from a friend that lives on the island. The staff is amazing and you can tell the love what they do and are good at what they do. Piiholo uses the seated harness which is more comfortable when you are zipping. Safety was always a priority when we got to each zipline platform. The platform was two to three stories above the ground. Two of them your walked up wood slats secured by a cable on either side to get to the platform, two others utilized stairs. The last one was at ground level. Most of the ziplines crossed over a valley or gulch, except the first one which was over flat ground from a tower. I don't like heights that much but Maka our guide who hooked us up always secure you to a teacher any time you were on the tower waiting to get hooked up to the zipline. The feather leash would only come off seconds before you were get to go down the zipline. The guides at the bottom do a great job helping you of the zipline and keeping you entertained while the rest of your group takes turns coming down. We had an awesome time and will be back to do it again the next time we are on the island.

Frequently Asked Questions about Piiholo Ranch Zipline Tours

How do I get to the ranch?
The ranch is located in Upcountry Maui, a mile above the town of Makawao, on the lower slopes of Haleakala crater. Check-in for ziplining is at 799 Piiholo Road, 1.2 miles above Makawao Avenue. We recommend renting a car for the day to come up here; there are many other wonderful sights to see. The Maui Bus only gets you to Makawao Town (Route 40), then there is a mile walk to the check-in location.

What should I wear for ziplining?
We require that all participants wear closed-toe shoes. Croc-style shoes, walking sandals, Vibram FiveFingers, water shoes, and flip-flops are prohibited. We recommend that participants dress comfortably for the weather forecast. Wearing pants or longer shorts will provide the most comfortable experience with the harness. We also suggest bringing a hat, sunscreen, and a light cover-up due to the changes in weather.

What should I bring?
We recommend bringing a camera to capture your ziplining memories. However, all cameras must have a strap for safety. Anything lost during the ziplining duration part of the tours are lost forever!
