"I Took the Bus, It was a nice day"

First and foremost, thank you David H, and others who recommended taking the bus. My review will be about the bus experience. Please do not laugh, i live in the country so this is the first public bus that i have taken since school. I took the bus from Waikiki beach. The #20 and the #42 bus went to the Arizona Memorial. Just pay attention to the direction (this is no East or West located on the bus stop signs). When in doubt just ask a bus driver if you are at the correct stop. i used the google maps application to locate but stops. The cost was $2.50 each way and took about 45 minutes to get to the memorial. One thing that i noticed was that the stops listed on the schedule were only MOJOR STOPS. So when i originally got on the bus i expected that the Memorial was about 8 stops away (this is how it is on the subway, why not on the bus), unfortunately there were a large number of stops between Waikiki and the USS Arizona Memorial. Finally the bus from Waikiki dropped you off inside of the memorial. When you take the bus back, the bus stop is actually on the main street, just go to the main road and to the left, the stop is right there. Finally when you go to the memorial you need to check all bags, I believe that the cost was $4.00 per bag. Remember, that you can get a ticket for the USS Arizona at recreation.gov the cost of my ticket was $1.00 and the website for the bus schedule was thebus.org

"Definitely worth the time"

Sobering but worth it. On the day we went, the wind was up as well as the tide, so we were not able to take the trip over to the Arizona itself, but the video was great, and walking around and seeing all that was there was incredible.

"Underwhelmed."

It was a bucket list tick off but after experiencing the D Day beaches in France was really underwhelmed. Also think the ACT War Memorial portrayed WW2 in a more balanced perspective.
