"Do not waste your time or money on this tour"

This tour was a waste of an entire day— I would not recommend to anyone. Most of the day was spent in and out of cheap gift shops and in the van. Very little time was spent outside enjoying the stops or scenery. For example, We were allotted 10 minutes in total at sunset beach. Our tour guide and driver, Tiho, was monotoned and gave little to no information or history of the stops. We were not allowed to speak to each other as he continued his dull stream of consciousness just simply pointing out things he noticed. I typically do lot write reviews, but would like to warn people not to waste their time (the whole day 7AM-5PM) or money on this tour.

We went to Waikiki in January 2019. The Pearl location of Aloha Trikke was on our street. We stopped by to see what they had to offer. Nikki, the guide, took the time to explain each activities in details. All what she recommanded to us was amazing. We did an island tour and a boat ride to go snorkeling. It was very nice. I recommand this place and espicially Nikki. You can trust her. All what she recommands is perfect. She really knows what she is doing. Thank you so much for these amazing memories.

"Hidden Gems of Oahu Tour/ Go Hawaii"

I chose this tour because I needed something for 6 people to do all day where we didn’t have to drive on our own google mapping and coordinating everything ourselves. And after taking the tour I’m glad That I bought the travelzoo discount for 2 three times for all 6 of us and we didn’t pay full price. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 due to food choice, no water to drink for an 8 hr tour and the turtle snorkeling. Also we weren’t staying at a Waikiki hotel so we had to pay $50 to park at the location pickup site. Find the zoo, park there and walk to the pickup site (wish we had known) And 4 might be too generous but it was worth taking up a whole day that we didn’t have to drive or coordinate anything. We were allowed to choose from only one shrimp truck for lunch and there were many and I would’ve preferred to pick my own and not be given a pre-chosen menu from one truck for a lunch that still costs extra. As for the tour itself, driver and tour guide were funny, kept the road time interesting and entertaining. If we hadn’t taken this tour, we wouldn’t have seen Diamondhead, the shrimp truck farms, Dole Plantation, and the lava blowhole. Going with a small tour is much easier to get into these places and they have their own parking. Diamond head was a cool place to take photos, Dole Plantation was an overpriced disappointment and all I can recommend there is the Dole Whip which was $6.95 for a small and small was quite large and very good. The rest of Dole was an expensive gift shop with some pretty terrible tasting stuff we bought at ridiculous prices. The shrimp truck lunch was great, just wanted to choose my own. The lava blowhole might be overrated but it was cool to see for about 3 minutes and any extra time there was too much, the turtle snorkeling - there was no turtles. We saw turtles just about everywhere else we went on our Oahu trip (on our own) and saw none where they took us on this tour. There was no bottled water on the tour bus and this was an 8 hour tour. After snorkeling and being in the sun for 1.5 hours I was begging anybody I could find for water. There was no refreshment or store anywhere at that beach to just get a drink of anything. So for a tip - if you take this tour - find a discount ticket on travelzoo, Groupon or at the stadium swap meet, bring a small cooler of some drinks for yourself or buy a drink at every stop so you’ll have something for the long time at the beach. And definitely buy the honey macadamia nuts at that stop.

"Hidden Gem... Our Tour Guide, Dirk"

Great Tour!!!! Dirk, our guide had so much information about the islands, he was like a walking encyclopedia but funnier. At one point we were stuck in traffic due to some road work, and that gave Dirk more time to tell us more about the history of the islands. Things we probably wouldn’t have learned on any other tour. We seen so much, learned so much and even spent time snorkeling. Mahalo, Dirk for such a memorable experience. Aloha!
