"Time of our lives."

The weather was a bit rainy, but the view was still amazing. I love that we were able to see the Na Pali coast in a way that you never see on the post cards. The water was too ruff in the 1st and 2nd snorkel spots but our fearless crew found us a safe place to snorkel. My daughter was able to go in the captains are and steer the boat, and learn about the boat. We ended the evening dancing on the deck till we made it back to port. I will be going on this cruise again next year when i return to Kauai.
Tip: If you get motion sickness take your meds before your get on the ship. I felt bad for the ones that did not feel well on the trip.

Had a wonderful time with Captain Jeff and the crew. We saw whales right away. It was a beautiful time and we got to see the Na Paleli Coast from a different side. It's so amazing to view from sea. The trip was a little rough heading north, but nothing too bad. We did get wet sitting on the top deck, but it was so fun. Snorkeling was amazing. Lots of fish and the water was nice and warm (even in February). Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our tour.

"Read Before Buying: Na Pali Coast Snorkel and Rafting Adventure"

We had two adults and two teens for the Na Pali Coast Snorkel and Rafting Adventure. My wife and I are experienced boaters and thought the captain did a great job of handling the small (24'?) vessel in rough water. The views are breathtaking but there is a price to pay for the raft over the catamaran. It is getting pounded by the waves in a small boat. I would guess that we spent over 90 minutes of the 6 hours getting pounded (my wife thinks it was more than 2 hours of getting pounded). Make sure you are up for that. If so, go for it. You are sitting on the rubber sides of the Zodiak type boat with one foot under a firm rope and two hands on ropes on the side. Think Navy Seals. That said, you get to enter some of the spectacular caves in the small boat that the cat can't go into and you get to snorkel from shore which the cat cant do. The captain and first mate were fun and took good care of us. They must be told to keep the banter up because they talked WAYYYY TOOO MUCH. That said, it was probably calming / distracting to some of those that weren't experienced boaters during the rough seas. All said, we were glad we did it. Next time we are taking the cat.

Captain Jeff and his crew made our day trip to Napali Coast a very enjoyable time. Their knowledge, sense of humour and service skills made us feel well looked after. The boat was clean, the food good and beverages were plentiful. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I am very disappointed that we learned as we were boarding our whale watching raft that the conditions were going to be very rough. We later found out that all other operators had cancelled their trips that day due to weather- of most concern was high swells and rough conditions. Had we known this, we would have never gone out with them. We feel as though we should have been told about the bad sea conditions prior to or at least at the time of check in and given the option to cancel or reschedule our tour. How were we to know that the conditions were to be abnormally rough if they did not share that information with us? The ride itself was fun for the first half, but the hard bumps and spray got really old, really fast. It was like buckets of water were being poured over me while we went crashing through the swells. I would say that for a good 30 minutes I was not even able to open my eyes due to the constant burning of the salt water spraying into them. We were holding on with our hands and feet (literally) so hard as to not fly out that there was really no enjoyment to be had. Furthermore, we were sore for days afterwards. Bruised knuckles and bottoms. I know that they cannot control the seas, but they should have their guests safety as their #1 concern and should never have taken us out in those conditions. If they felt it was safe enough to go, they should have at least explained to us that the seas were unusually rough and that the ride was going to be exceptionally bumpy and wet and offered us the option to reschedule. We did see some whales, but at quite a distance. My advise would be to do your own weather research and to question them about conditions ahead of time. Do not assume they would inform you of such issues and do not assume that if they are going out it must be safe/ ok to do so. We should never have been out there. When we told others we had gone out that morning they looked at us with disbelief and shock. We thought we were in for a fun adventure, not a painful experience spent clinging to dear life with our eyes sealed shut. Not at all what we had been expecting and very disappointing as it could have been avoided if they had only been upfront with us about the sea conditions.

We a had a great tour of Na Pali with Capt. Kauai. We had a great weather traveling there, just got a little rough coming back, but it was still a good time. Crew was very nice and helpful in the boat and with great places to eat around the island. The snorkel wasn't bad, we just had to deal with adolescent jelly fish everywhere. Saw many dolphins on the way out and a few turtles. If given the chance, grab a kiss under the mini waterfall.
