Description

from Kauai Sea Tours - Na Pali Coast Beach Landing Day Raft Adventure
This is a six hour ultimate adventure raft tour that explores all the "nooks and crannies" of NaPali in all of its majesty! Under the waterfalls and into sea caves when conditions permit, encounter playful dolphins, turtles, famous movie locations and more. We explore the coast and experience a very special cultural site, it is much more then your typical snorkel tour.

A Real beach landing at Nualolo Kai (on NaPali), we are fortunate to be able to land you at the site of this ancient Hawaiian fishing village. Passengers can take a guided narrated hike through the ancient village, enjoy great snorkeling and a gorgeous beach to bask in the sun!

The menu includes a gourmet deli picnic lunch of freshly made sandwiches, tropical fruits, chips and fresh baked cookies with bottled water, juices, and soft drinks.

Come prepared for the beauty, the motion and the ocean. We recommend beach attire and a coverup. All activities are at your own risk, rafting is best suited for the physically fit, outdoor adventurer. We cannot allow pregnant women or those with serious health concerns, recent surgery, or history of back injury to participate.

"Highly recommend"

We are a family of 4 age 18 to 57- we thoroughly enjoyed the adventure. The ride on the raft was definitely exciting and not for anyone with back or neck issues. The landing on the beach was enjoyable and the snorkeling was good as well. Jake and our Captain were informative and added the aloha to the trip. We have visited Kauai many times and this will be one of our highlights for years to come.
Tip: Again, not for anyone with back or neck issues- you will be sorry.

Had a wonderful time with Captain Jeff and the crew. We saw whales right away. It was a beautiful time and we got to see the Na Paleli Coast from a different side. It's so amazing to view from sea. The trip was a little rough heading north, but nothing too bad. We did get wet sitting on the top deck, but it was so fun. Snorkeling was amazing. Lots of fish and the water was nice and warm (even in February). Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our tour.

We had two adults and two teens for the Na Pali Coast Snorkel and Rafting Adventure. My wife and I are experienced boaters and thought the captain did a great job of handling the small (24'?) vessel in rough water. The views are breathtaking but there is a price to pay for the raft over the catamaran. It is getting pounded by the waves in a small boat. I would guess that we spent over 90 minutes of the 6 hours getting pounded (my wife thinks it was more than 2 hours of getting pounded). Make sure you are up for that. If so, go for it. You are sitting on the rubber sides of the Zodiak type boat with one foot under a firm rope and two hands on ropes on the side. Think Navy Seals. That said, you get to enter some of the spectacular caves in the small boat that the cat can't go into and you get to snorkel from shore which the cat cant do. The captain and first mate were fun and took good care of us. They must be told to keep the banter up because they talked WAYYYY TOOO MUCH. That said, it was probably calming / distracting to some of those that weren't experienced boaters during the rough seas. All said, we were glad we did it. Next time we are taking the cat.

Captain Jeff and his crew made our day trip to Napali Coast a very enjoyable time. Their knowledge, sense of humour and service skills made us feel well looked after. The boat was clean, the food good and beverages were plentiful. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I am very disappointed that we learned as we were boarding our whale watching raft that the conditions were going to be very rough. We later found out that all other operators had cancelled their trips that day due to weather- of most concern was high swells and rough conditions. Had we known this, we would have never gone out with them. We feel as though we should have been told about the bad sea conditions prior to or at least at the time of check in and given the option to cancel or reschedule our tour. How were we to know that the conditions were to be abnormally rough if they did not share that information with us? The ride itself was fun for the first half, but the hard bumps and spray got really old, really fast. It was like buckets of water were being poured over me while we went crashing through the swells. I would say that for a good 30 minutes I was not even able to open my eyes due to the constant burning of the salt water spraying into them. We were holding on with our hands and feet (literally) so hard as to not fly out that there was really no enjoyment to be had. Furthermore, we were sore for days afterwards. Bruised knuckles and bottoms. I know that they cannot control the seas, but they should have their guests safety as their #1 concern and should never have taken us out in those conditions. If they felt it was safe enough to go, they should have at least explained to us that the seas were unusually rough and that the ride was going to be exceptionally bumpy and wet and offered us the option to reschedule. We did see some whales, but at quite a distance. My advise would be to do your own weather research and to question them about conditions ahead of time. Do not assume they would inform you of such issues and do not assume that if they are going out it must be safe/ ok to do so. We should never have been out there. When we told others we had gone out that morning they looked at us with disbelief and shock. We thought we were in for a fun adventure, not a painful experience spent clinging to dear life with our eyes sealed shut. Not at all what we had been expecting and very disappointing as it could have been avoided if they had only been upfront with us about the sea conditions.

We a had a great tour of Na Pali with Capt. Kauai. We had a great weather traveling there, just got a little rough coming back, but it was still a good time. Crew was very nice and helpful in the boat and with great places to eat around the island. The snorkel wasn't bad, we just had to deal with adolescent jelly fish everywhere. Saw many dolphins on the way out and a few turtles. If given the chance, grab a kiss under the mini waterfall.
