Description

from Island Rhythms Sunset Cocktail Cruise Ma'alaea
Embark on a fun-filled musical adventure at sea, complete with dancing on our open-air dance floor to reggae and other island rhythms, along with a variety of hot and cold appetizers and cocktails!

This unique and popular sunset cocktail cruise is hosted by Marty Dread, one of Maui's top reggae stars, whose charisma and enthusiasm gets everyone up dancing and having fun. It's an ideal multigenerational cruise; kids love dancing as much as the adults!

As an added bonus, whale sightings are guaranteed (from December 17 through April 23). If you do not see whales, you get a free ticket for a regular Pacific Whale Foundation whale watch.

Your ticket includes: sumptuous hot and cold appetizers of BBQ pulled pork, meatballs with homemade marinara sauce, taro rolls to build your own hot sandwich, artichoke dip with crackers, a locally grown vegetable crudite platter with ranch dip and locally grown assorted fresh island fruit platter. We also include all-you-can-drink chilled soda, juice, filtered water and up to three cocktails per adult, with a choice of local Maui microbrewery (Maui Brewing Co.) beer, plus wine and tropical well drinks including our famous Mai Tais. And we offer a free full color marine life poster!

What to Bring: Camera, light jacket or cover up, comfortable attire (low heeled shoes recommended), sunglasses, money for optional souvenirs. A picture ID is required to show proof of age if consuming alcoholic beverages.

Check in at Pacific Whale Foundation's Ocean Store at the Harbor Shops at Ma'alaea (next to the Maui Ocean Center) off Route 30, the Honoapiilani Highway. Remember, this cruise departs from Ma'alaea Harbor. Book early, as this cruise fills up quickly!

This cruise is available on Fridays only.

Guests will need to check-in 45 minutes prior to departure and must sign a liability waiver upon check-in prior to your tour.

I have gone snorkeling and on whale/dolphin watch trips with Pacific Whale Foundation a number of times. Always a good experience. Even if the animals you look for aren't there, there's always other interesting things to see and learn. I also like that they also do research and education!

Got to go on a dolphin watch last week on Pacific Whale's Ocean Spirit. It took about an hour to get out to Lanai, but when we got there there must have been about 100 dolphins. My granddaughter loved looking down through the webbing at the front of the catamaran at the dolphins swimming below. We actually go monthly on the Ocean Spirit for whale watches from Dec. to March and they have never disappointed.

Very nice and quiet sunset cruise. Parking for this was tough and a long walk to get to the pier. Dinner was included but was not that good. If your looking to get a view of the harbor this would be a good choice

We thoroughly enjoyed our sunset cruise. The crew was very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of food and drink. The best part was the scenery of the West Maui mountains topped off by a rainbow. Absolutely perfect.

Pros: Got lucky with excellent weather. Only went to two spots, but really good locations. Breakfast and lunch were very good! The whole staff had a good attitude, very informative and great sense of humor. Also, leaving from Ma’alea worked perfect for us being in Kapalua. Cons: Signed up through Expedia and there was a problem with the reservation. Had to buy two extra adult tickets on the spot for $230. They blamed Expedia and it ended up being them. Not a great start to the morning, but was credited in a few days. All in all, well worth the price and time spent! Would recommend it...
