"Good Tour - Needs better time planning"

Took the Stars and Stripes tour which included Pearl Harbor, The Arizona, The Missouri, and a few Honolulu sites. As Honolulu traffic is always slow, the time planning should have been better. Spent too much time on a few Honolulu sites, by the time we got to the Arizona, there was only a few minutes to see the attack park before our scheduled tour start. Then because of only one Navy launch in service (not Robert's fault), our trip to the memorial was about 20 minutes late and only allowed for 10-15 minutes on the memorial. Plenty of time for lunch and visiting the Missouri though. Thoroughly enjoyed that site.

"Excellent Bus Driver/Guides"

We took took tours of Oahu with Roberts Hawaii. First one was Circle Oahu tour. As the name implies, we circled the whole island except for the exteme western end where the road does not go through. This is an all day tour with stops at many scenic points and beautiful scenery all along the drive. Our driver/guide was Fred and he was funny and gave us lots of information about Oahu. Second one was Pearl Harbor and Historical City Tour. This was a half day tour. Our driver/guide was Dwight and he was also very funny and informative. We went to Pearl Harbor first and went through the museums and movies, then boarded the boat to take us to the Arizona Memorial. Unfortunately, it was too windy to get off the boat and go into the memorial. Many people were very disappointed, but I have seen it before and am glad they are concerned about safety. They took us around the whole harbor and narrated what we were seeing. Getting back on the bus, we toured the historical areas, palaces, and government buildings. Also the Punch Bowl Military Cemetary. We only got off the bus in one area for picture taking, but I thought it was enough. Now, having said that the drivers and tours are good, I must say both tours were very late for pick up - 45 minutes late. Even after picking us up, they went to many other hotels for pick ups and that ate up a lot of time. If you tend to be impatient, this is probably not the way to see Oahu for you. However, traffic is terrible, so if you rent a car and do your own sightseeing, you might be just as frustrated.

Travelled with Roberts today on their Oahu Grand Circle Island Tour. We had Cousin James as our driver and boy, did he know his stuff. It was a big day which took around 8 hours. James was talking for most of the day and explained in detail each stop etc. We purchased tge Deluxe Features which got us a buffet style all you can eat lunch. If you want to take a look at the island, this is a fantastic way to do it!!!

"Disappointing - rent a car and do it yourself"

I would not recommend a tour - rent a car and do it yourself. Much more cost effective Maui was pretty and the staff was nice, but was disappointed with in general All day tour of Maui. It's lovely and the guide was very knowledgeable Due to weather, there were road closures and we didn't get the full tour. Driver acted surprised but an employee at the hotel said the road been closed for days and that Robert's definitely knew about it. No one told us because Roberts probably wouldn't refund Driver suggest Subway for lunch - NO ONE was up for that. He then drops us off at some lame strip mall food court next to a vacant Sport Authority. Everyone was extremely disappointed We moved on and saw more of lovely Maui. With about an hour left on the tour, he drives us past Front Street shops and the beach, etc., and proceeds to park an 1 miles away at another low end strip mall. Said we'd be there an hour and "this is where the locals shop". So condescending - like we were fifth graders. EVERYONE was disappointed and wanted to go back to Front St, but he said no because there's great shopping at this mall. When we got back to the bus, there was a bag of groceries. It was obvious we had stopped at this dumpy area so the driver could do his own grocery shopping!!!! EVERYONE ON THE TOUR WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I HOPE THEY ALL COMPLAIN

We booked our tour through the concierge in our hotel. Pick up and drop off we're flawless and the driver Ted was the best. The price is what you expect in Hawaii.
