A long way on the bus from Waikiki. Very informative displays with extra insights from our guide, a complimentary service. A lot to see, l suggest 3 hours would've been good. Great story of a white American, Bishop, finding love with a native Hawaiian in the 19th century. It appears he & his wife were very generous to Hawaii's indigenous population.

Booked directly but Roberts Hawaii handled the tranportation pick up. Iolani Palace Monarch tour part of the package with lunch included. Worth the time and money spent. Driver guide Koko knowlegable and personable. Unfortunately the lava show in the Bishop Museum was not working due to some furnace problem.

Pretty steep adult entry fee (over $20 plus paying for parking). Cost aside - many interesting Hawaiian displays and historical artifacts. Good if it rains or if you need a break from the heat. Took several nice photos of displays suspended from ceiling.

Great displays and details on Hawaiian history and culture. Lots of colourful and interesting galleries and a very moving account of the colonialisation of Hawaii, and Hawaiian spiritual and cultural values. Really enjoyed the visit, it gave great background picture to our trip to Hawaii. Thank you!
