"Fascinating but shockingly overpriced"

Very informative and well laid out. This museum documents the sad history of Hawaii, another victim of the selfish tourist industry. Unfortunately, the entry fee of $22.95 per person plus $5.00 parking brings the cost for two people to over $50.00! Compare this to free (donation based) admission to the Met in NYC, the V&A in London and most museums in Edinburgh and you will understand why I (regretfully) cannot recommend this museum.

A must stop to learn about Hawaiian history and culture. They also have a small planetarium that teaches you how to use the stars to navigate and a rotating exhibit, which was Animation--completely different than the rest of the museum but super fun.

"Great place to learn about Hawaii's history and see artifacts!"

Spent about a half a day in the main building on all 5 floors browsing Hawaii's history and displays! There are 4 or 5 other buildings that we did not experience due to our physical abilities. If you have the time would allow at least a whole day to do this facility justice.

This is a beautiful museum and covers the history of the Hawian islands and its people. It is truly amazing when you consider that our 50th state was actually its own nation for many years.

We did this as we had nothing to do and like most museums it was what it was! We saw a little history but we really used it to kill time. To be fair I am not a museum enthusiast :-)
