Description

from Maui Haleakala Summit Lavender Day Tour
The day begins with complimentary pick-up between 7:00 am & 7:30 am. Touring in the air-conditioned comfort of an exclusive, 6 - 8 guest, Luxury Limo-Van, takes us to Pa’ia for a lite morning snack. Afterward, it’s a leisurely mountain drive to Haleakala National Park and the crater summit. Ascend to the “House of the Sun” visitor’s center to let the crisp air awaken your senses to the breathtaking panoramas of the crater. Photograph multi-island views atop the 10,023 ft. summit and picture frame the moment forever. Pu’u Ula Ula, (Red Hill), affords 360-degree views of the Big Island of Hawai’i, West Maui and Lana’i and Moloka’i.

Descend Haleakala to the serene gardens of Ali’i Kula Lavender. Explore the fields of lavender that grow all year round. The fresh and invigorating fragrance will fill your senses and uplift the spirit. Best of all, visit the studio gift shop and discover over 75 quality products and gifts, directly from the gardens, made from Lavender & Aloha, just for you.

Enjoy our Pacific Rim Cuisine Luncheon and learn about lavender, a mystical and mysterious herb.

Your journey continues past rolling green pastures, serene mountain vistas and the seascapes below, to the Ulupalakua Ranch and Tedeschi Vineyards. This Historic ranch was visited by King Kalakaua and Queen Kapi’olani in 1874. Known then as the Rose Ranch, it was famed for its hospitality and agricultural prowess. The King’s cottage still stands and is currently the Winery’s Tasting Room. We invite you to sip some of the Ulupalakua wine and “taste the sun, the soft evening fog and hold one hundred years of history in your glass."

The Summit Lavender Sojourn continues with a visit to the Hawaiian paniolo, “cowboy” town of Makawao. There’s plenty of time to stroll and explore this and historic place. Visit Viewpoints Gallery, operated exclusively by Maui artists, Hot Island Glass, the only glass blowing studio on Maui or a number of other fine, locally owned shops. Come along with Temptation Tours to “Discover another World on the slopes of Haleakala.”

Tour Returns: 4:30 – 5:00pm.

Haleakala Summit Lavender Full Day Tour Includes: Luxury Limo-Van with only 6 - 8 Guests, Certified Guide Narrated 8 - 9 Hour Tour, Lite Morning Snack, and Scrumptious Pacific Rim Cuisine Lunch, Ali’i Kula Lavender Garden and Tedeschi Winery Tour, Entrance Fee to Haleakala National Park and Unlimited Ice-Cold Soft Drinks.

"Haleakala Sunrise"

My husband and I went back and forth for a long time deciding what company to book with and boy am I glad we decided to book with Temptation Tours. The Sunrise was beautiful and something you must see if you're on Maui but what made the tour even more special was our guide, Al. He was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. Due to the smaller size group we were the first tour group at the top of Haleakala and Al led us to the perfect viewing spot that was private from the crowds. It was great having a guide who was so knowledgeable and personable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

"Hana Picnic Tour - gone, gone, goodbye..."

Over 6 months ago I booked with Temptation tours and was provided a confirmation of our reservation on their Hana Picnic tour. We were in Maui for two days during our cruise in September 2017 and we were trying to do and see as much as we could in those two days. I reconfirmed about a month before the trip and was told all was good. About two days before the scheduled excursion I receive a text message from Temptation to call them. So I called to find out our trip was cancelled due to not enough participants... This is completely unacceptable behavior since NEVER were we told there was anything tentative about this tour. I would be very wary booking with them.

"Coach tour of Hana"

Lunch on a black sand beach, a swim in a waterfall and a relaxing ride with a 5 star guide from Hana. The tour was a helicopter ride to Hana then ride back. I have done the road to Hana which can be stressful, dangerous and argument provoking. It is Nick named divorce highway. This by far is the best way to experience the road to Hana by air the relax the ride back. Scotty was a hoot! Fun and full of trivia.

"Haleakala Sunrise trip"

Our guide was very knowledgeable and picked us up on time at our resort (2:30 am). The group consisted of my husband and I and three other guests. The van was very comfortable, and I fell asleep on the way to the summit quite easily. Once there, our guide was prepared with extra layers of clothing, as it was gusty with biting cold. I came prepared with my ski jacket and mittens, but even with the extra gloves, pants and blankets provided, I have never been so cold in my life! We waited for 2 hours in the bitter cold, and just when we thought the sun would never come, it finally did and the view was absolutely breathtaking and worth all the trouble. I would definitely recommend it to all!

"A Great Trip!"

Gayle was our guide. Informative about island history and local knowledge and a great teacher, we learned and took in the awe inspiring nature sights on the Road to Hana. The picnic lunch at the Hana Beach was unforgettable for the ambiance, and the wraps, salads, fresh ice-cold pineapple and cookie dessert were delish. Gayle's skills as a tour guide are first rate and she made a great trip unforgettable. Debi and Fran.
