the tour bus guide she was great and knowledgeable about all the sights. the tour time was too short to see more than the memorial , had to miss out on the missouri and the bowfin ,so if wanting to see these book a longer tour. the flea market is the same as the one at kings village in waikiki so save your time as well they do not bargain much on prices.

Indefinitely closed because of structural issues. The boat ride around the memorial is an insufficient substitute. I hope this can be rectified soon.

Unable to get on the memorial due to the cracked foundation of the loading dock. The museums on land were interesting and the audio tour was very useful.

I was a little disappointed that you couldn't actually go onto the USS Arizona Memorial due to damage (this happened about 2-3 weeks before going on trip). I understand this was done for public safety. The park location is open with few covered areas, two gift shops and two places to get food from. The film shown is informative, shocking and moving. After this - you hop on a boat that takes you near the memorial (I wanted to skip this part and I should of). The USS Missouri and USS Bowfin you can board (although, both are extra $$'s). Take a hat, wear sunscreen. Oh! You can't take anything in with you - no bags, however you can buy a bag in there at the gift store. You can take in - phone, wallet/pursue and ONLY water in a clear water bottle.

My family and I enjoyed our experience even though we were unable to go unto the memorial itself. The required movie before the boat tour was educational and helped me better understand December 7, 194. The narration provided on the boat tour from a local who watched the day unfold was unexpected and a highlight of our trip to Hawaii. I did not know that it is still an active burial site for USS Arizona survivors. Before entering the movie theater, a park ranger explained how these burials take place today. Here are some hints for enjoying your time at the memorial-- Don't give up on getting tickets. We originally tried to book our tickets two months in advance, and they were all gone by the time we logged on. While we were in Hawaii, I was able to secure next day tickets by logging on at 7:00 am, and I had my choice of ticket times. Leave your bags at home. You are not allowed to take bags or even larger purses into the facility. They do have a bag check option for $5/bag. Plan to arrive at least an hour before your ticketed time to see the memorial. There is free parking at the memorial--it just might take you awhile to find an open spot. You'll also need to wait in line to pick up your tickets and be at the theater at least 10 minutes before your ticketed time. You may want a bathroom break before joining the theater line because once inside the theater you will not have access to the bathroom for approximately an hour. Position yourself in the theater so that you are one of the first onto the boat. This means you'll want to be sitting close to the double door exit that you'll take after the movie to get to the boat. You cannot stand on the boat, so you'll want a window seat to get the best views and photos. Explore the grounds. There is more to see in addition to the USS Arizona including some relics that can kids can climb on to help get out some energy.

Very nice facility. I just kept thinking I was were all those men passed. It is a different kind of feeling, but would highly recommend seeing this attraction. The dedication to those who served is honorable and done right.
