All tours begin at the Kapalua Resort Center off Office Road in the heart of Kapalua Resort, conveniently located near West Maui hotels. Mountain Outpost adventures start with a 20-minute ride in the Kapalua Adventures’ Unimog shuttle, an open-air, all-terrain biodiesel Mercedes. Travel up the West Maui mountainside through scenic pineapple fields to the Outpost pavilion and observation deck at the 1400-foot elevation.
We will cross a valley via the longest and highest suspension bridge in Hawaii and then ascend up the mountain to the edges of Pu’u Kukui Preserve where your zipping adventure begins high in the trees. This tour includes line #3, which is the longest line on the course at 2,300 feet in length. We will depart high in the tree tops, fly over valleys and arrive at a scenic bluff with amazing views of the Kapalua coast line and Molokai. Includes Zip lines #1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and gourmet picnic lunch. What to Bring AND Do: Wear hiking or lacing athletic shoes that cover the entire foot and layered clothing for a comfortable experience. Participants must be 10 years of age or older and weigh between 60 lbs. and 250 lbs. Zipline tour riders need to be able to carry or lift 15 lbs. of weight. What should visitors wear and/or bring for their Kapalua Zipline Adventure?
Required - Closed toe hiking or athletic type footwear - No Crocs allowed.
Be advised that the weather can change quickly so layered clothing is a good idea. Remove hanging or dangling jewelry and rings before attempting the climbing tower. Kapalua Adventures is not responsible for the loss of personal items such as cameras and sunglasses. Patagonia rain jackets will be provided at the beginning of experience.
Are there age restrictions?
Participants must be at least 10 years old and weigh at least 60 lbs. Also, riders cannot weigh over 250 lbs.
What are the weight restrictions?
Riders must be a minimum 60 lbs. and can weigh no more than 250 lbs.
Do guests need to sign a waiver at Kapalua Adventures?
Yes, all guests must sign a waiver. Also, guests under the age of 18 will need a guardian's signature before zipping.?
Where is Kapalua Adventures and the Kapalua Activity Center Located?
Turn left off Highway 30 at the main entrance of Kapalua Resort. Turn right after second building on the right side and then right into the parking lot. Check-in is located at the Kapalua Activity Center, 2000 Village Road.
Are Zipline tours cancelled due to weather?
Tours will run Rain or shine; however cancellations may occur during high winds, severe thunderstorms, or hazardous weather. In these events, we will do our best to re-book your tour immediately or provide a refund as appropriate.
My friends want to come but aren't purchasing a tour. Is there a place for them to watch?
Unfortunately, guests are not able to come out on tour if they are not part of the group.
When do I need to check in prior to my Zipline Tour?
We ask that you check in at the Kapalua Activity Center at least 30 minutes prior to your tour to ensure enough time for preparations. All parties will need to sign waivers, review equipment, and understand details of the tour.
