Surfing Lessons at Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy in Lahaina, Maui

Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy invites you to join us as we take you from the sand to the sea. Kimo Kinimaka, "Chairman of the Board," has spent over 20 years of his life safely teaching the ancient Hawaiian sport of surfing. Our patient instructors are here to insure an enjoyable experience for all. Surfing lessons in Maui, what could be better?

•Small Groups (4-5 people max per instructor)
•Individual Instruction Available
•Lesson Includes: Soft Top Surf Board, Protective Rashguards, Booties (Aqua Socks), Professional local Maui instructors
•2 hour surf lessons daily at 9:30am, 12:30pm
•Safety is the number one priority with instructors in the water who are by your side at all times.

First time surfer? No worries!

Come join one of our group lessons, all geared towards beginners and you are guaranteed to stand and ride a wave or the lesson is on us!

The lessons are 2-hour long sessions and consist of 20-30 minutes spent on the beach, where your instructor will go over the basic fundamentals necessary to get up properly on your surfboard and ride a wave, as well as the safe ways to do it. The rest of the time is spent in the ocean catching waves with your surf coach.

Our instructors are all highly qualified surfers and teachers, as well as first aid/CPR certified and lifeguard trained.

We keep our groups small (5 students per instructor is the maximum) in order to maximize everyone’s experience and guarantee a fun and safe time for all.

Each surfer will be provided with a rashguard (Lycra UV-Protective surf shirt), reef shoes, and their own board for the duration of the lesson.
