Since 1996, Kayak Adventures has been offering a 3 in 1 quality tour. Your tour includes:

• Kayaking on the Wailua River
• Hiking through a lush rainforest
• A chance to get up close to a secluded 125 foot waterfall.

Our Tour Guides: Daniel Havas, has been working with the company for 10 years and Aaron Lamson for 3 years. Sam Mitzel started in May 2007 and is our official photographer and also a tour guide. All are CPR and First Aid certified.

On our tour, we paddle 2 miles up-river. If you are thinking of river kayaking – Wailua is class 0! No current, no whitewater. This river is very calm and serene. We paddle pass a Hawaiian Village that was used in the movie Outbreak, starring Dustin Hoffman, Rene Russo, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey. When we reach the trailhead, we bank our kayaks where portions of 6 Days 7 Nights with Harrison Ford and Anne Heche was filmed. We will also show you where scenes from Raider’s of the Lost Ark and Jurassic Park were filmed. We hike 3/4 of a mile through beautiful rainforest. Along our hike, we will tell you of the various flora and fauna as well as the history of the ancient Hawaiians who once live in the Wailua River Valley. Once we reach the 125 foot waterfall Uluwehi, which means Secret Falls, we will swim and take pictures and provide you with a complete deli lunch. After we are finished enjoying the waterfall, we hike back through the rainforest to the kayaks and paddle back down river.

Tour Details:

• This is a 4.5-5 hour tour offered 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday
• Check-In times are 7:45 & 8:45am
• Tour includes your deli lunch from Small Town Coffee with bottled water
• Dry bags for cameras and towels included
• We recommend you wear sunscreen, bathing suit, and wet shoes comfortable for hiking
