The day begins with complimentary pick-up between 7:00 & 7:30am. Touring in the air-conditioned comfort of an exclusive, 6 - 8 guest, Luxury Limo-Van, takes us to Pa’ia for continental breakfast. Afterwards, it’s a leisurely mountain drive to Haleakala National Park and the crater summit. Ascend to the “House of the Sun” visitor’s center to let the crisp air awaken your senses to the breathtaking panoramas of the crater. Photograph multi-island views atop the 10,023 ft. summit and picture frame the moment forever. Pu’u Ula Ula, (Red Hill), affords 360 degree views of the Big Island of Hawai’i, West Maui and Lana’i and Moloka’i.
Descend Haleakala to the serene gardens of Ali’i Kula Lavender. Explore the fields of lavender that grow all year round. The fresh and invigorating fragrance will fill your senses and uplift the spirit. Enjoy our Pacific Rim Cuisine Luncheon and learn about lavender, a mystical and mysterious herb. Your journey continues past rolling green pastures, serene mountain vistas and the seascapes below, to the Ulupalakua Ranch and Tedeschi Vineyards. This Historic ranch was visited by King Kalakaua and Queen Kapi’olani in 1874. Known then as the Rose Ranch, it was famed for its hospitality and agricultural prowess. The King’s cottage still stands and is currently the Winery’s Tasting Room. We invite you to sip some of the Ulupalakua wine and “taste the sun, the soft evening fog and hold one hundred years of history in your glass." The Summit Lavender Sojourn continues with a visit to the Hawaiian paniolo, “cowboy” town of Makawao. There’s plenty of time to stroll and explore this and historic place. Visit Viewpoints Gallery, operated exclusively by Maui artists, Hot Island Glass, the only glass blowing studio on Maui or a number of other fine, locally owned shops. How many guests do your Limo-Vans accommodate?
We offer first cabin seating for 6 to 8 guests per Limo-Van. All guests enjoy more comfort space than any other tour company on Maui. Our Limo-Vans feature supersized windows, dual air conditioning, stereo around- sound and spacious head room.
Is food served on your tours?
Delicious food is served on every tour with Temptation Tours. Meals are prepared fresh daily with locally grown fruits and vegetables. A vegetarian entree is available upon request. For more specific information, please click on individual tour.
Do your tours include waterfall swim?
Every Hana tour has a waterfall swim with freshwater pools. There are places to change into your bathing suits. The Hana tours are Hana Sky-Trek Half Day Tour, Hana Picnic Full Day Tour and Hana Cave-Quest Full Day Tour.
How should I dress for the Haleakala Sunrise Tour?
Dress in layers for the Sunrise Tour. Bring a jacket or sweater along and wear long pants. Closed toed shoes with socks will keep you warm and safe. If possible bring a blanket or beach towel. Be prepared for true volcanic beauty in dawn pastels!
